The season he won a treble was one of our best seasons in the past 20 years. I'd argue top 3 or 4. What a job he did that year.

See that’s the thing for me, him agreeing to come back, and the way it’s went maybe worse than what happened last time he was publicly slaughtering the board, and his apparent meekness this time round and toeing the line whilst timidly saying we need quality every now and again.

Why in the * did he agree to return? Lets be clear here, he’d be first choice first sacking in EPL along with Graham Potter, who is still on exorbitant amounts of garden fee salary from Chelsea, so is clearly needing a very good offer to give that up… but BR, if he fails here, if we sack him. He’s finished.

He’s not stupid, he knows the risk. And it’s not out of him being a fan alone, we know he separates the emotional decision from professional ones all too well.

He had zero reason to be back with the way its played out, so if we’ve jusy outright lied to him, and never had any plans of following through, then that leaves us in a terrible position next time we try and get any credible manager. Because it’ll be well known, the next guys agent will ask BR’s agent. And then, how do we get anyone worthwhile?

Also see the 'See you in May' comment in the history of the planet has that sort of comment ever not come back and bit someone on the *. It's totally brain dead.

Bangura was moving the PL at his unveiling and was it Kwon ? who was off to Bayern at his unveiling

I had a mad yin, rough as *, set my alarm when I went back to sleep. Woke up, forced myself out my bed to put it on and watch it. And realised I felt like when you get woke up thinking you have a bit more time to sleep before work, and then need to jump up and start your chores/work instead.

Last year I’d be giddily clock watching for when the build up would start, like a * drug, a dose of dopamine jagged right to ma * veins. Now I sigh and think I’m no going to be one of those * that say can’t be arsed with it, but I understand they * now. Its a chore. An obligation that I just have to do. Not that excitement and elation of the last two years

This is a retrospective look at things and decisions are always easier with hindsight, so not trying to say I thought this in advance but when you look at this season and the 20/21 season there are similarities.

In 2020 you had Ajer, Edouard, Christie and Ntcham all wanting a move but being kept. This summer Hatate, Abada and Starfelt were all rumoured as exits well ahead of the window only one materialised.

Our manager didn’t even want the gig when he was first asked. It took Desmond going full charm offensive.

We struggled to get our best team on the park in both seasons and made a lot of signings who weren’t up to scratch. We also struggled to get the best out of our key players.

We were over reliant on guys who were now past their best, although we also let experienced players leave and never really replaced them, leaving us with a naive squad that were overly dependent on a captain whose legs had gone and players whose minds had checked out.

The obvious difference is there is no pandemic this time.

Basically this season has been a train wreck from the get go it’s just it’s taken a while for this to come off the track.

If he had any self respect he would go but give board chance to get replacement in asap.

Spot on I said this as well at the time when we got Rodgers back in the summer his stock has never been lower if he came in we splashed the cash as was expected at the time and were successful he would get another job down south no problem. For him to come in to essentially the same conditions he left under the first time around is wild to me considering Rangers are undeniably better than they were in Rodgers first spell it's wild he would come back in these conditions if he fails his best hope of a job is probably Saudi

Hatate was just wasn’t sure if he wanted to extend his contract, had a look about, knuckled down and decided he did. Abada had one chat with BR and signed up. Looking at pre-season tactics, he was planning on building a lot around Abada, and he was excellent in pre-season. Muscle injury and an inconvenient genocides * that for us though, selfish * that they are.

Aye, and it was low because for one of the first times in his career, he stayed loyal to Leicester after he thought he should bail because the circumstances changed that he was operating under. He stayed and tried his best, and it hit his reputation. If he left that summer, he’s got three last 5 finishes and a trophy for Leicester. Then he was the guy that got them relegated, even though majority of that time wasn’t him, that doesn’t matter that’s now his rep.

So, if he comes here and dominates like he did already? His rep doesn’t budge. And then he talks about Europe, if makes waves there, his rep goes up but thats a long shot.

So realistically, being here the only way his ‘image’ that he really cares about grows, is almost impossible really. We can do ok, but we can’t compete in the CL.

So he has a very slim chance that makes professional sense for him. So he must have been offered something really good, and he was clearly hinting towards it. And now it looks like we’ve just lied. And if thats the case - irreparable damage to our reputation and those involved need thrown out the door immediately. Because we wont attract anybody decent, when they get told they just tell you what you want to hear to get a signature then abandon you to deal with it

This reminds me of when * kept saying Rafa or Mourinho and we got Ronny.

Why would they accept what we offer?

Me and you both mate. Actually missed the kick off today as was on a date with the Mrs. Had a nice day and pleased to switch on just before our goal, well worked. Game then proceeded to send me into a state of apathy as has been the case most of this season watching us.

What a come down of a season. Not even wanted to debate the guys sticking up for Rodgers as even if they make good points, it's just that buzz of watching us play last 2 years was football ecstasy.. now this.

    Kyogo. A phenomenon
Rodgers is a very small part of a far bigger problem.

He still sanctioned spend on huhn who to me looks nothing near what is ever going to be required mimd you. That is no surprise to me, his recruitment or choices are - on the whole - poor. And don’t tell me he’s not involved. He is involved. He’s just not good at it.

There is complete confusion in the club about strategy.

The only strategy I see is * recruitment and a manager on a fortune who is clearly already in the “it’s not my fault” game to avoid reputation damage.

This season is only ending one way, and it won’t be pleasant.

I’ve said all season, no Hatate or ccv and we are *.

that’s not an excuse. It’s a disgrace in a 2 horse race with horse 2 being a glorified future glue stick us being where we are. Our back 4 the last few weeks is Ross county level. That can never be excused.

we should be out of sight for the next decade. Instead? We are number 2. And that’s not panty wetting pish. We are not the best team in the SPL. Reality. And rangers are dreadful as well, so how we are where we are is quite incredible
