I was trying to think of a Broony at Lb level of baffling management - Ralston at LB, cos Bernys not to be trusted, then following week chasing a win - taking Palma off, only guy who was making chances, and putting Berny left wing.

Same levels of baffling as left back Broony as the last roll of the dice against St Mirren that

That's fair, apologies the end of Lennon's second term.

That second season for the 9, that was cut short, that football was up there with what Ange was pulling off for me. When we still had the team drilled to BR’s fitness standards, but Lenny man management and given them the freedom to go scud *, finding a formation that had good partnerships all over the pitch.

Rodgers would * dream of they levels right now. I’m * dreaming for they levels. It seems far beyond us, but we know for a lot of these guys, its not. Because * Ange and them last year

I know lots of posters are blaming BR
I agree with this, its about the highs and the lows, you don't turn your back on your club because they are on a difficult passage, as you say it's fine to vent but we need and literally have no choice in my opinion that we need to stand united and SUPPORT, booing at the stadium wil do no good. I'd rather win the title despite the board rather than lose it because of them

It’s like if you’re raising a child, cutting out bad influences that’s * up their life is good support for the wean.

Celtic’s the wean, BR’s the junkie in this metaphor.

But, I’d always say not during the game, not from ten minutes into it. Don’t turn on them, during the game.

    After it. Fair game.

On that point though, BR asked for that before the game, in a convoluted patronising lecturing manner. And you know what, he * got that. The support were patient, they were supporting right up to the final whistle, after conceding the equaliser they cheered the team on. And showed at the final whistle its not acceptable, so he got that support today. Made * all difference

I respect your optimism.. but there is no apparent structure or tactics to our play. We aren't improving any of the players, they are all going backwards, McGregor is kicking garyowens up into the air. Numerous players making errors and smiling or laughing etc. bernabei came on and looked like he was trying to wind Rodgers up the way he was floating around at 3mph with the ball. Players are running into each other overrunning passes. The amount of times today players had the ball and absolutely no idea where the next pass would be. We look like a testimonial team that was put together this morning. Id have some hope if we had some actual game plan and players could come on to a game but that isn't the case here.. of the last 9 games we've played at home in the league only 3 we've won by more than one goal.. scandalous stat and not the form of champions

Careful how I word this, if I can try..

I wasn't initially for Rodgers coming back. But I warmed to it and once he was in, I've backed him and want him to do well.

The way he left the first time, I'm over that and it truly does not play a part at all in my thinking on the situation we find ourselves in today.

But he may as well walk now.
He's clearly not being backed by the club. He's clearly been lied to in the summer when he was recruited back for the job.
He's banged on about the need for quality multiple times, about wanting 4 or 5 in the January window.
Players we've bought under his time here have been against his wishes (being nice), as we actively try to get a few of them out the door. Even the two that came in this January, one isn't used in a manner that a manager deems him to be quality and a game changer for our season. The other is a short term loan which the manager is getting use out of to try and do something different with the setup in some hope of getting a tune out of this squad.

This squad and club aren't working for him. Be that individuals are downing tools or simply out the quality is sub par and we've got a manager who doesn't fit the players and we refuse to invest in the manager in that respect.

I'd hold a lot of respect for Rodgers if he was to walk away this week (more so if a bad result happens in the next two games).
Last thing I want to see is him holding on for as long as possible when the writing is on the wall.

Unfortunately we know he wouldn't be able to tell us truly what's happening behind scenes, but words used correctly we would all know and surely respect him for calling it out if he can.

I just don't believe he's gonna get the backing long term from the club. As much as we are a * basket case of a club, long term things need to change, but short term if Rodgers can't get a tune out of this lot, I'd roll a dice on a new manager bounce.

Unfortunately I wouldn't also be confident or trust the board to hire the correct manager for a long term ambition, hence we would need to have major changes higher up the food chain. That's another conversation.

For me though, something needs to happen to salvage this season. Rodgers can rightly (up til today) point to the good run of results and the to quieten the narrative. But the performances are pathetic from this squad all season. Players or manager? Hard one to call, both most likely.
But I can at least see Rodgers has been trying something to get a performance out of the players. It's just not coming.

I'm honestly not sure we can constantly blame injuries to CCV and Hatate either. We should have more than enough to still be scoring 3 or more most games.

We just aren't. It's 1 early goal, then squeaky * time the rest of the game, scared of the equaliser.

Let's not forget he has numerous times backed the very board that is shafting is him and on occasion backing them whilst intentionally siding against the support as seen against Ross County. His constant flip flopping all season has made a rod for his own back.

@Peej Why would you respect if he walked this week ? I would've respected it if he walked in Jan but he didn't and went on yet again to defend the board and the recruitment. For me he's very much in the you've made your bed now lie in it stage

There's zero chance he walks imo. Clung onto the Leicester job til he was finally axed and he had no previous affiliation to them.

Same as Lennon in the ten season, he will be here til he's sacked (or a 'mutual agreement' is made)

Perhaps a last chance moment for respect.

He's been all over the place with his comments, I honestly think he's been trying to toe the party line in hope they come up good for him. But they haven't.

You're spot on though, building a rod for his own back as he goes now.

He's accepting this, if he continues to do so, he will go down as another of the ilk.

Just think if he was to walk and make it known why, fans would be on his side this time.

If he sticks this out to end of season, we lose the title and then he sulks away in summer, he will get no respect of fan backing.

It's my fear for him, if he clings on like Lennon did, which was mental how long he dragged that out for, then he will leave with fans against him again.

The whole * season screams trouble, DD wanted the man who walked out on us mid season, and its looking like the board didn't want him back.
With BR giving it Billy big balls with his remarks I'm here for 3 seasons and see you next May the board have gone * you we ain't spending. That could explain plenty and if he leaves and suddenly the new manager gets the 70 million to spend it shows us that was the case.
But the board should also go if they do that and more or less give the huns the league this season and 60 million.

He's not the sole reason for our issues but he's definitely a massive part whether he walks/stays/gets sacked. Club needs an overhaul from top to bottom behind the scenes.

If he told me it's raining outside I'd look out the window. All week he was giving it fighting talk and yet again served up the same powderpuff *. For me the time for respecting him walking is gone and it went on 31st Jan. If he walks now he's sneaking out the back door holding a white flag. He's worked with all the * in the boardroom before albeit they had different roles but he knows the script with them and the summer should have been evidence for him enough even prior to January.
