There have been isolated good performances, but watching us every game there hasn’t been any spell where we looked good.

They also did it at the start of the season and Beale was beyond dreadful. This is now the title run-in and no time to be replacing a manager

For sure it’s horrendous, but the focus on the defence has hidden the fact we can’t score goals, which is the real problem.

The point being you cant be deliberately incompetent. If its deliberate its not incompetence. Not trying to nit-pick or anything but its not possible to be deliberately incompetent that would be sabotage

What relevance is the time of the season?

The point is a manager can come in and instantly start getting results, as shown by the Hun manager coming in and instantly getting results.

It feels like a slow death at the moment. Had we lost a few games in a row I think there would be a decision for the board to make, but given this pattern of scaped wins and odd draws I can't see them doing anything until the end of the season. And it feels like Rodgers will go even if we do manage to scrape by and win the title because he just doesn't seem happy and whatever he is trying isn't working.

I think the absolute best we can hope for is to grind wins and maybe they bottle a few games and we nick the league. But it doesn't feel very likely at the moment.

Well what if we got a new man in right now who lost his first 2 games??

Would we be saying...."he just needs time to get to grips with the squad and the players and settle in Scotland and learn about the Scottish game....yada yada yada"

Naw....then we would have lost the league and some people on here would be calling for that guy's head aswell

Sviatchenko done my nut in after his initial spell under Ronny :56:

But the year after, BR came in his first season here, and he immediately brought Kolo Toure in. And Kolo’s last hurrah in his legs as a player lasted maybe 3 months or so, but that time when he came in, he had a calmness, a leadership, a quality, the experience to see us through before the team had a chance to gel together. We had qualifiers we had to win, performances can get * its about winning. Kolo was absolutely key, and for the short amount of time he lasted, he had such a foundation for us to build on from the start to that season going onwards ,

That was replacing with something completely different, short term, that was something we didn’t have that we really needed. I can’t see that sort of thinking from Brendan just now, it’s like he’s sitting us up like fifa, just sticking a guy in a position, to play the same style, regardless of the strengths or weaknesses of the player.

And then there’s been a lot of mixed messages that he’s said publicly, so don’t know what he’s saying privately, every other week he’s said he’s focused on Kyogo playing deep, getting involved in play, staying high playing off the shoulder and playing to run in behind and not get involved. And Kyogo’s playing like a guy who’s getting mixed messages

Our last five goals, we’ve had one that’s been through good play we’ve created the goal - that was today. Before then, 2 deflections, 2 penalties.

Not creating many chances, and the ones we do, we aren’t clinical.

If that happens it’s we’ve shot our load made our choice, we need to give it the opportunity to prove themselves.

But the league would most likely be lost with two losses in a row.

What if Rodgers loses the next two games? It’s all hypothetical.

The facts are we know this squad is good enough, as it’s been shown in the past and we know Rodgers is presiding over dogshit football, in the midst of a 10 point swing barely able to get this team scoring a goal a game.

Very, very rarely does a situation like this spontaneously turn itself around. When you have a good (if imperfect) squad though as we do, a new manager can often get things going again.

As I said previously, if you take a step back the task ahead of Celtic is not monumental.

    Well Im backing Brendan.

We are not as bad as we are making out

The huns aren't as good as they are making out

and if they do go top tomorrow we'll catch them and still win the league. I am confident of that and Im backing our manager to get us out of this bad spell (cause thats all it is).

The amount of times Ive been on here in the past decade or so and we have a few bad results and folk want the manager sacked. Its crazy. Folk would have us like Aberdeen or Hibs and sacking a manager every season. Teams go through bad spells. You cant win every game and be top of the league all the time. Its how the league looks at the end of the season that matters and I have confidence in Brendan's experience and ability to have us top of the league at the end of the season

Exactly. Its not monumental. If were 10 points behind I could see a point and cutting our losses and getting a new man in. We are not. Our manager can do this. So can the players. Its not monumental just like you said

    * me....how obvious does it have to be!!! Read a stat a while back. Prior to the split, our wingers had found Kyogo in the box 5 times this season. 5 times between all of them.
433 isn't for this squad. Drop it.

442 diamond is where we need to be with this squad.

Brutal. Ended the game with a left side of Bernie and scales. Then Bernardo and Yang ahead.

    Words fail me.

Yeah but it’s trending in a very definite direction.

Besides your original point was it wouldn’t work because the manager needs time to get to know the players etc. I’m just pointing out we have indisputable evidence that is often not an issue.
