Gambled on falling over the line in the league due to the incompetence at sevco, essentially signing over a 60mill cheque to sevco

Ticket money is ony one avenue of income, remember there is a huge turn over of money in the ground on match day, celtic store, hospitality, food, drink, catering etc all of this effects the clubs finances.

Also an empty ground is bad for business in terms of sponsers and leasing out catering faciltys ,food outlets, bars etc .Dont think they wouldnt be bothered by a boycot.

If we signed Miovksi and Beck in January, both completely plausible signings, we wouldn’t be in the position we currently are. And that’s not me being a smart * with hindsight, absolutely everyone said it. Instead we have to persist with Bernabei who’s worse than useless and we signed a 6 month loan for a development striker who doesn’t score goals. That part of this season will be deemed shameful whether we win the league or not.

We get to a position of strength and we as a support hope we will kick on to the next level from there where the reality is that the board see it as the perfect opportunity to penny pinch

Totally agree James, we keep doing it so it just shows how incompetent they really are.

See being honest I don’t even know it is penny pinching as much as they slap each other on the back so muck and think what a great job they are doing.

They try take it way too far with one part of their strategy, the buy young from untapped markets and hope to land more gems but completely ignore we went out and also signed the Eredivisie top scorer, Croatia’s right back, An ex England number 1 keeper, the J leagues leading scorer and added talented young prospects to that. The following season Mooy played a big role in winning a cup final. All players 26 or over that complimented the younger talented players we brought in.

Not sure mate but imo the only way to get the boards attention is to hit them in the pocket.

I don't doubt for a second our boardroom is an echo chamber. The whole club needs an overhaul to bring it in line with modern football but it doesn't look likely to happen. The board won a watch with Ange as he was essentially doing about 3 separate jobs

Totally agree well between Ange and his agent they seemed to be running out recruitment until Marky boy turned up.

See being honest though I actually think the good signings dried up a bit under Ange too as most of his recommendations were guys he had faced or guys he had in his team.

The likes of Oh coming in and Kobayashi were just total points. Iwata to me was a way down the list option when we couldn’t get who we wanted or he would have been signed like Maeda, Hatate and Ideguchi, deal done ready to go 1st of January.

Basically working in out parameters his high hit rate was due to drop off. Plus fair play getting guys like Juranovic and Giakoumakis to sign but it wasn’t exactly the hardest two players to scout.

In the summer and January there I just wanted to see us sign a couple of players at least that came in and like Kyogo or Hatate, instantly from their first start you think he’s a proper player.

Then probably another couple that look at the level of assured will grow into it like Juranovic and Alastair Johnston did. We have instead signed basically a list of players who look more Bernabei/ Kobayashi level.

I'm sure Lawwell JR has been here for 4 windows and in that time we've signed 1 player you would give pass marks to which even at that is looking questionable this season in AJ. There was no reason for us not to splash the cash in the summer we just simply refused to. Then in January we never got the quality we had heard about for months prior and were hit with every excuse going we now find ourselves in a position where a lot of the support would see the manager gone, there is rumours our head of recruitment will be off and we are going to need a substantial rebuild in the summer. From board room to dugout and everything inbetween this season has been a * up

Every single one or them needs chased.

    Every last one.

From Desmond senior down to the scouts. Every single one of them needs chased.

They are all culprits of the downsizing, the nepotism and the lack of ambition we have as a club.

Not one of them is for for purpose for our great club.

I genuinely thought it was going to be different in the summer and we would for once kick on from a position of strength at the time for once we were all on the same page (or as close as its ever been) Ange leaving was a bump but we paid the big money to bring Rodgers back and since then have just resorted to the managed decline we've seen time and time again.

We want to smash through the glass ceiling these * get the double glaziers in
