I mean it’s not a sure thing, but we’ve beaten them twice already this season.

2 behind at worst, 12 games left with 2 against them. We still have the bulk of a treble winning squad.

If you bring the right guy in and say just win 10 games against the SPFL and beat them at parkhead - I think you’ve got a shot.

Rodgers has us playing so * that people have forgotten how good we are.

We can definitely get a lot more out of most players - but I think we’re massively lacking in every area of the squad.

Defence is awful - CCV aside I wouldn’t trust a single player in it, and he’s injured most of the time.

Midfield is predictable, slow and too samey.

We don’t have a single winger at the club even remotely close to Jota’s level. Combine the lot of them and even then they can’t get close.

We’d need to beat the huns in the next two games and I just can’t see it happening.

I will re-phrase that.....it is not incompetance. Incompetance would suggest that our board are just careless and making silly mistakes.

    They are not.

They are deliberately choosing to act the way they have in order to make money.

Thats not incompetance. Its deliberately choosing to act in a particular way that can only lead to failure eventually

Think it’s worth remembering that the huns aren’t anywhere near as good as the media would have us believe. Definitely wouldn’t be conceding the league just yet.
This doesn’t mean that Rodgers was the right appointment and doesn’t mean that the board aren’t a bunch of * though.

Its going to achieve nothing replacing him right now when we are in a battle for the title. I could see the point in that if we were well behind in the league and it was basically done and dusted....then you cut your losses and aim for next season. There is no point bringing in a new manager who has to learn about every player he has to work with and try and instill his way of playing on the team etc etc......we dont have time for that.....we are in a title race. Rodgers has to get this together and quickly. That is the only way out of this.

I believe he'll do it aswell. Im backing him

    This is the question.

But as we know, the board won’t remove Rodgers anyway.

And even if they did, I genuinely think they lack the capability to get someone in. We increasingly look like a few clueless guys completely out of their depth, largely hidden by the fact we play in the SPFL and have been really lucky with our last manager running the whole show.

I don’t expect someone Jota’s level, because Jota is * special. Just like I didn’t expect a Van Dijk level to replace Van Dijk. Or a Larsson to replace Larsson. There’s a level of player when they leave its not so much matching their quality in a replacement, it’s about adapting and doing something different and adding a different quality. Palma’s nowhere near Jota, but he’s set up more than Jota did his first season already. He’s frustrating and has a high volume of attempts to do that one pass that makes up for the last 9 he did but we’re using him like he’s supposed to be Jota. That does not work.

I was screaming for Elyounoussi on a free as a replacement. Nowhere near a Jota, but we could get 20 goals off him from off the left. Something Jota wasn’t expected to do, despite being much much better. But we dont play to strengths

We still have most of the same players as the last couple of seasons. Proven players are playing badly just now.

We haven't been poor the entire season. There has been good performances in the league. We also managed a few very good performances in the champions league and deserved more points than we got.

The last couple of months has been very concerning with the standard of performance. Our players aren't playing well and don't look happy.

He has been shafted by the board 100% but it's also a board he's defended on numerous occasions only he know why.

His downfall will/has been his own stubbornness the last 2 games he eventually changed it to play with 2 strikers on the park which has worked to an extent without being breathtaking but still in both of those games we finish the game with his * 433 we've tried and failed with all season.

We were getting absolutely bullied 2nd half today he looks at the bench and thinks Bernardo is the man for the job over Iwata. It's decisions like that which baffle me.

Every winger at the club is absolutely * but that again is coming from the manager there is not a chance the instructions isn't to cut inside at all times again which we have tried and failed with all season.

The sheer reluctance to play forward incisive passes but to instead let teams get 11 men behind the ball and just be content to pass it around them.

We came out in that 2nd half with the intention to hold what we have and allowed ourselves to get absolutely bullied all over the park you could see it coming a mile off.

    Yer teas oot Brendan

    The Huns did this.

Since then they have drawn one game, won a cup and lost only to us.

At a full house parkhead, 2-1 with 10 men.

Neither do I, but I expect better than what we currently have.

Jota to Palma/Yang/Kuhn is like going from VVD to Sviatchenko. And that’s being harsh on Erik.
