We should probably talk about him again, he was *. I don't see anything in him, he makes poor decisions to shoot when he should pass and seems to never be able to beat a man.

3 games now I've been unconvinced.

    He was poor, aye.

Yet somehow managed to be our best winger on the day, by a distance. Which tells you everything about the team today.

He’s just *. Don’t care about his numbers - the eye test shows he isn’t a good player.

Slow, wasteful, makes bad decisions…list goes on.

    He’s clearly not *.

He’s also clearly not ready to be a first choice regular for Celtic either but those things can both be true.

See regardless of his all round game lacking something at times, he was heavily involved in our goal and put a cross of Idahs head 7 yards out which is more a sad indictment of being more creative than nearly anyone else in the team.

He is frustrating but is far from the main issue with this team. When we were decent for a short spell it was largely O’Riley and Palma carrying the team.

I would have genuinely hooked him after 5 mins. He's one of those players you can tell right away if he's on it or not

I agree on both points. I'm a fan of his and think he gets way too much stick. But I do recognise he's not ready to be our main man. It's a shame so much of the creative side of the game rests on his shoulders, and that no other winger is even close to him in terms of creativity this season.

The first 5 mins were like watching Space Jam. All footballing ability lost.

Could we try him in the 10 behind Idah or even Maeda and Kyogo?

Our wingers are utter pish anyway..

Think it would help our balance someone like him as a natural 10 as he's a bit too one paced and predictable out on the left. O'Riley and McGregor as a 2 behind....I know that takes a bit away from O'Riley's game but helps McGregor and O'Riley was accustomed to sitting deep when McGregor was out anyway..

Allow him the freedom to move off the wing out of possession. His first few games before he got to grips with the tactics, he wasn’t nailed to the touchline until he gets the ball. He’s moving from out to in, in behind, attacking the back post. Look at his two CL goals, * the disallowed one against Lazio as well.

I don’t think he’s got the freedom to get into those positions since. Also first time since his first few games he’s had a long shot at goal, and he had 3 opportunities before he pulled the trigger because it was too obvious. Watch that back, we had players throwing their arms up, because that is not what we do, its not the safe option. We play football by safe percentages. Safe passes, safe movement, turgid, rigid, slow, and lacking in style and creativity. That’s the control attack that Rodgers said he does rather than gung ho, when he had a baffling wee jab at Ange’s style.

To label him simply sh*te is bizarre, he has already shown flashes of his talent in a Celtic shirt. The trouble lies in the wild variations in both his form and his confidence. Sort that and we'll have a player on our hands.

He made our two guys to win last week ffs, he put a clear pinpoint header from three yards out right to Idah’s forehead today that he * up.

Then he got scythed down, didn’t come out 2nd half. And we had zero creativity. If it’s not him or O’Riley, we usually just pass it around between cb’s and calmac.

I * love the guy, simply for the fact he’s the only * that doesn’t choose the easy option every * time and a safe five yard pass and tries to do something creative and unexpected. Aye, it can be erratic, but who the * else takes the responsibility on to try and actually get us goals? O’Riley is the only other one, and he does it in a much more safe way, he doesn’t try the pass if he’s unsure at all of it coming off. Feel’s very Rodgers, like football by numbers. The safe option all the time, to keep ‘control’ and its just turgid, slow and uninspiring

This is the problem when you’re dealing with miserable carrots that literally live for negativity.

They would be in a peak Barcelona match day thread calling Messi a donut. And I’m no even joking.

Subbing him off today was an amateurish mistake from Rodgers.

Took off our main creative outlet and replaced him with a kid who has struggled every time he's played.

No idea what the thinking was behind that. It killed us though.
