It definitely isn’t. We’re at worst 2 behind and the squad is more than good enough to win every remaining game, if they were used properly.

We won’t replace him but if we did we would likely save this season.

Mate, as long as they promise not to give him the job permanently, there are worse things we could do.

    Aye, it’s glaring that we’re * abysmal.

Last 4 league games we’ve scraped a 1-0 win against County at home and needed two penalties to beat a miserable Hibs team. Those have been the only two wins.

We’ll do well to even be within touching distance of the huns in April if the way we’ve been playing all season continues - and there’s nothing to suggest it won’t.

I said to my mate after the Hun game we won at Parkhead, we win because we have players with more quality, and that quality showed and made the difference. But they are more organised, more cohesive as a unit and have a much stronger mentality.

They made us panic and scramble and dessert any semblance of shape or tactics the last 15 mins or so of that game we were cruising, when they had ten men. We should have went into the window taking that as a big warning.

The point about the Huns not challenging us for 10 seasons before that, there is a reason for that as we all know.

The sides he faced up here in his first spell were absolute *. Like genuinely horrendous. Before thar they obviously weren't even around to challenge.

A concern for me is that in the 2 or 3 seasons where they have actually got their act together we've been caught with our pants doon. It's happened again in the past 4 months.

That's not down to Rodgers entirely, for that sort of negligence and short sightedness I blame those above him.

Given the resources we have supposedly compared to them we shouldn't even be sitting here discussing this.

We are and always have been, our own worst enemy.

If they win their game in hand, they'll be 2 points ahead. The gap's not smaller; it's negative.

I mean, this is why I'm certain the league is gone.

The very fact Neil Lennon is being touted as a welcome replacement tells you everything you could ever want to know about the current situation.

    Holy Christ.

We are not a very poor team. That just isnae true. We are not playing very well at the minute. That is what is happening. This * happens to every team......even the top teams. I suppose this is what happens when you have the level of success we have had since 2012. A bad spell becomes a disaster in the minds of the supporters. I know this will turn round back in our favour.

Before I say this.....I am in no way comparing Brendan Rodgers to Jock Stein. But during Jock Stein's incredible tenure in charge we did have bad spells aswell....and it always turned round for us.

If his stock wasn’t at an all time low after Leicester, it will be now. The standard of football is eye bleeding.

Shouldn’t have came back and needs to go

A * manager with too big of an ego to solve the most obvious of problems, he can * off tonight cause we are only going backwards under him.

It has been obvious for long enough he can’t motivate the squad and his tactics are outdated & predictable as *. He should never of stepped back inside Parkhead and that’s down to another lazy board appointment.

Even if we go on to win the league, it will be down to how * the huns are and not how good we are. Depressing as * considering the position we were in last season.

If he hadn’t already been back and his stint ended like it did, I’d be confident that he can come in, get a real siege mentality and fight into the the team and drag out trophies. But, that last season of his did happen, and if a big part of the disconnect at every level of the club just now is BR and his history here that still lingers over him, and he is yet to win back respect from the stands. Imagine Lenny? It’d be worse. Lenny would be worse and try and fight back with the fans, he’s been doing it for BR as a pundit, and part of that is defo him projecting from his time in charge.

    * *.

We’ve been like this since August. It’s not form or a bad spell.

The season pretty much started with us getting knocked out the cup by Killie. 6 months later and we’ve failed to beat them again.

We quite clearly are a very poor team. Look at the dross in our league we’re struggling to beat every week.

It’s not a bad spell. We’ve been pish since Rodgers got here. Even wins have been eye-bleeding most of the time.

Results have just caught up with performances like they always do.

Its to do with improving from a position of strength which we have actually never done in our entire history.

When Martin O'Neil took us to a baw-hair away from the UEFA Cup the board should have written blank cheques for him the following season. They didnt and the decline inevitably happened. Its always happened for as long as I can remember supporting Celtic.

This team is nowhere near good enough to win the league ...it's gutless and talentless.

Yes I agree not in the long term but * it would be great to see Rodgers get sacked and Lennon to win the league. But ain't going to happen, they'll leave it till last minute to sack him..

Yes, and what happened after we failed to improve upon Seville?

We let an aging squad continue until it blew up in our faces in 04/05.

A dreadful Hun team beat us to the title.

See 08/09 for a near identical capitulation.

See 23/24 for the next installment.

Anyone seriously suggesting Lennon needs to get help.
