He's a handful and occupies defences which can and will free up space for others but doesn't look like a good instinctive finisher so far.

So far he's looked exactly as the reports/clips of him suggested for once.

Good movement, decent pace, occupies the centre half's well. However looks a bit uncertain in front of goal and probably needs to be a bit more involved overall.

He will definitely create more space for kyogo though if played together which is a massive plus point.

Yeah pretty much what everyone else but hopefully him and Kyogo start more together, both of them will be a handful for any defence in Scotland.

2 matches and 3 goals for the pair, so far so good.

So individually not the may west but in a partnership with Kyogo it could be very effective and he can actually score a * penalty

Thought he was so poor, absolutely bullied by that big center back, one good chance he got after a brilliant set up by Ralston, made a dogs dinner out of it.
If BR wants to stick with this formation, would rather see Oh start.

Easter Road was a false dawn.

Looks absolutely brutal in my view.

Couple of decent touches here and there over the course of a game.

    Poor

He's giving exactly what he's about so nobody at the club can be surprised. Shows effort and nice touches but is so far from a goal scorer it's scary

What is there to say, really?

We’ve loaned him from an upper-mid table championship side. The expectations are justifiably very low.

He’s the kind of loan that should be coming here as a third choice striker, in a system where we’re playing one up top, and lacking any alternative from the youth team. Not even a dig at the guy to say that either.

I actually thought him and Kyogo played well the odd time they got on the ball but they never really got any service as forwards, only ever really seen the ball outside the box.

The guy is average at the best, theres a reason why norwich dont want him ,but rest assured by the time Rodgers is done with him Idah will have gone from being average to being absolutley *.

He's an absolute donkey. He wouldn't look out of place at Livingston or Motherwell.

    This tbh.

So far he is playing as I expected him to. An average player who we are relying on to work miracles.

I thought he actually done OK when dripping deeper today that being said he's Norwich third choice so my bar for him is incredibly low

I quite like him, he’s still settling and learning those around him clearly but he was a target, was mobile, strong, good first touch, and good link up. 45 minutes of that then it faded. As much stick as they both get, Taylor and Palma coming off stopped any cohesion between defence and midfield and midfield and attack. And then it was very disjointed. Palma gets some amount of stick, and he can be frustrating but he always shows in space wide and high up the pitch, and is the only guy in the team that doesn’t take the safe option all the time. Doesn’t always come off, but it’s unpredictable, and opposition need to worry about him.

Taylor when he has that freedom to roam, it gets us an iron grip on the game. He’s always a spare man for everyone on the ball that side of the pitch, keeps the ball and moves it on quickly. Supports his winger, the midfielder infront of him and most of all, supports McGregor to an insane extent.

It’s frustrating his biggest weaknesses are the bits you want a Lb to be good at, because the positives he brings is * class.

Rodgers though, he knows this, he’s tried Taylor in the classic Lb sort of role enough and moved him to the inside role, or if not quite that gives him the freedom to move into positions he feels he needs to be. And he’s changed him to that everytime we’ve needed to chase the game or need an iron grip on it. So, what does he do, against a * dodgy opposition for us in Killie when he gets replaced? Does he tweak it so there’s not a big massive gap that Taylor would usually be in? Nah he does * all.

He’ll have the stats there as well, if he hasn’t noticed if it’s not Palma or O’Riley making a big chance to score, it’s goals from a penalty or a deflection or by pressuring the defence into a mistake or jumping on a ricochet.

Ralston needs to keep his place, his assist today is a rarity this season and everytime he’s played consistently he brings that creativity. I trust him to be able to do something like that. Outwith they three, and many probably won’t have Ralston in that to be fair and it’ll be they two. Where the * does any creativity come from?

edit: this was supposed to be a small point about Idah, and segued into a * rant
