Always take comments from fans of previous club with pinch of salt mate.

His stats fly in face of "no end product" comments

We had a fair share on here delighted to see Frimpong go, because £13m for a ‘guy with no end product buying into the hype’ was us fleecing Leverkusen.

Now he’s in the conversation for best RB in the world. Fans are unreliable as * with opinions, and also vary wildly from fan to fan. I’ll die on the hill I preferred Ralston to Jura, and others will say shut the * up moron to that opinion.

I can remember loads of * swearing down dead Denayer was better than Van Dijk and was making Van Dijk look better. Rather than what the majority of * realised that he was talented as *, and Van Dijk being there allowed him to thrive.

There’s been some wild ones, there was a brief period of time a lot of * jumped on the quickly derailed bandwagon of Niall McGinn being better than McGeady.

Unless it’s somebody you know who’s opinion you know is worth listening to, better off just ignoring fans opinion at a previous club and wait till you see enough to decide on your own. Cos 90% of football fans, if I’m being generous about it, are * clueless

Didn’t set up as many goals as him, didn’t score as many outwith penalties, was * in the air. He was * excellent positionally but, I’ll give him that. JJ’s lack of end product done my * in man.

Better defending, (they’re defenders), better on the ball, better passer of the ball, maybe slightly quicker but ralston is pacey. Definitely had end product, could link play much better than ralston and was positionslly much better. I think he is a much better player. Jura’s form did dip at the end though but think was more so to his head being turned. Was also only here for like a season and a half. There’s a reason why a team that was 3rd in bundesliga and in CL wanted Juranovic and teams like that aren’t coming in for ralston.

I like Ralston aswell, love his attitude and think when he gets a run plays well. Big difference in ability though to me

That's my issue with signing him, he doesn't go straight into the team. Had we spent a couple of million extra I think we could have done.

Wasn’t a better passer of the ball by a long distance. Maybe a safer one, nowhere near as creative though. I like attacking fullbacks at Celtic who can still defend.

Aye, he’s a good player, he just wasn’t as effective for us. Also got absolutely * rinsed in the CL. JJ having 2 assists for us in his time is pathetic, Ralston had 9 in the same period. The amount of times a move would break down in the final third due to JJ’s lack of end product fried my * brain man.

Especially because he had the * ability, he just didn’t use it.

I’ll agree to disagree then cause I thought he was far more creative than ralston also and a much better passer. Got us a couple goals aswell, not as much assists but sometimes them stats can be majorly deceiving as ye could put a ball on a plate for someone 10 times in a game and if they miss every time It’s not due to your lack of end product. I think to say our second choice right back is better than Juranovic is mad, but hey opinions…..
Back to Kuhn though I’m hoping he gets atleast 30 mins today to give him a chance to get more involved in the game

Kuhn has set up a couple good chances. Just last game he laid a perfect cross onto yangs head. He's just unlucky it was yang. Anyone else would have atleast got the header near the target. Give him time, and a couple players who can finish and he'll flourish.

I remember thinking that Denayer had a higher ceiling than Van Dijk (although I knew Virgil was an amazing player). I guess I underestimated quite how incredible Virgil really was.

It wasn’t a deceiving stat, he just had very little end product. Scored one goal that wasn’t a penalty as well.
Factually, he was nowhere near as creative. Like passing wise wouldn’t key passes or assists. Jura’s biggest on the ball asset was carrying the ball forward dribbling. Statistically I mean.

I think it is deceiving like for example 2 seasons ago my brother was top assister in his league at rb with 14 assists I think it was, last season he had 4 assists. But every game he should’ve had 4 assists minimum, the strikers would miss the target from 6-8 yards out from his deliveries constantly, did this mean his end product was bad? If ye watched the games no ye get me. I just mean stats can be deceiving that way. I think there’s reason for bigger teams wanting Juranovic, he’s a better player all round. Indont think you’ll get anyone in a top 5 like looking for ralston as I think he’s limited. I do like him though and I hope he keeps his place at right back as AJ hasn’t been on it and when ralstons confident he can be quite good offensively

I’m not arguing against the fact Jura’s higher rated, I’m saying I think Ralston was far more effective for us.

Yes it’s deceiving in the above example, it’s just not deceiving when it comes to Jura. He just rarely had the end product to create. Excellent in the build up play but.

Yeah sorry, maybe he was more effective for us and you’re right that the stats show it but I don’t know I just thought there was that bit more class with Jura in the team more balance.
    Fair point though mate
