I'm glad we tried something new but nothing is clicking. For 5 mins near the end we looked like making something then Palma dives and St Mirren look like scoring.

They're kinda battering us a wee bit, must be close to double figures on the corner count.

What a * half, absolutely no control of that game at all. Kyogo has looked far better however but we got absolutely battered there.

Could be worth getting Iwata on and going back to a 433 with McGregor having licence to get forward

Good goal, nice play between Calmac, Palma and Kyogo

We have very little control in this match though.

Poor dive from Palma, who otherwise is about the only one looking to create anything.

We've been decent in spells, but outwith the goal it hasn't been great, our defence looks very fragile.

Only been able to watch bits and pieces of the first half, but seems like Hart has been our best player again?

Good goal and unlucky with another few efforts but other than that not great. We've done well at needessly kicking it out the park I suppose.

Palma really shouldn't have dived. He was playing well, and should have backed himself to cut a ball across the box, yet again.

Idah shows he can hold the ball up. But Rodgers doesn't realize that such a skillset needs to be constantly utilized with long balls onto the chest or head. Kyogo too far away from goal when St. Mirren have their D-line formed. Great move for the goal, though.

We had plenty good parts of the half creating chances but then as equally * with mistakes and lucky to be 1 up still.

There’s no balance to this team, Iwata on for Palma and go 352.

Better but we are still playing with about 5 players missing, Maeda, Palma, O’Reily, Scales, Bernabei all pathetic.

We knew St Mirren would be up for this cup game, but we've not been moving the ball fast enough for this formation and the pitch is poor. CalMac and O'Riley are not getting the space they normally have.

We have looked dangerous the few times we got the ball in the box, but it might be worth getting Bernardo on if we get a second.

It’s a weird one with this set up, offensively much better, but defensively and playing through a press your hearts in your mouth at times…

Maybe a 352 would be the best of both?

    Our backline looks really poor.

    I'd sub him aff.

We have about 8 wingers chomping at the bit anyway.

He did set up the goal tbf but he does annoy me. I'd maybe stick Maeda on the left and Kuhn on the right.
