Looks like it could be a flat 442?

Palma and meads on the wings. Kyogo and Idah up top.

    A '67 424 even?

Gonna be interesting to see the shape of this.

I mean is just to easy to say that looks like a og 4-4-2?

I would hope though, no matter the shape... kyogo isn't the one sitting deepest of the strikers. He's wasted in that role.

He needs to be getting in behind... making runs I the box to get one touch shots off at goal that is where he is best

Good to see Rodgers try something. That's promising.

Surely it's a 442 he's done the Kyogo in the 10 thing earlier in the season and it didn't work

Lately whatever we've been trying to do hasn't been working, not sure exactly how we gonna setup today but good to see us trying something a wee bit different at least. Hopefully give us a bit of a spark. 2-0 Hoops. :ynwacelti

Buzzing about Kyogo and Idah both from the start. Hopefully this is the game we finally turn a corner, had too many same old * performances so far and it's pure ground my enthusiasm levels for watching us down.
As much as he's been capable defensively, I'm starting to lose patience with Scales and how long he takes to make passes but that could be mitigated by lack of movement and options ahead of him. Either way, I want us to play quicker. Yang,Oh and Tomoki especially being back has the bench looking a lot healthier.

    Same.

I'm hoping he's actually trying something different here. We are certainly a midfielder down, so it's gotta be a change in formation, surely?

If he is trying this and it doesn't pay off, I'll at least have a little respect for him trying to switch things up now.

That said, with that level of attacking options, we really should be pumping teams.

We need a big performance today. Been saying that for a while now, but today is a day where we can't limp over the line, rely on their defensive mistakes in the second half etc.

I want us to go 2-0 up before half time, and then start playing some good football.

I get all the points about wingers who don't take men on etc, but Rodgers is on too much money not to figure out a way to beat teams like St Mirren comprehensively.

Looks more like a 4321 to me, with Kyogo paling in the 10. Hopefully a straight 442.

That defence is honking but. Genuinely wouldn't think twice if that was St Mirren's defence....

Looking forward to see what we can do with this team. Interested to see the formation.

Maybe take turns dropping off, Idah looks better suited in the little I've seen of him, he's strong with a good touch and won't get bullied like Kyogo can plus don't think Kyogo's link up play has been great whereas Kyogo is probably a better finisher.

442 could really suit McGregor. Gives him far more responsibility and license to get properly stuck in

Promising set up. About time Rodgers tried something different.

    Interesting line up.

The defence needs more protection as it's gifting chances. The defence is worrying.

We are definitely conceding with that defence but at least he's trying something different in front of it

This simply has to work today. It’s a last roll of the dice tactically in my opinion.
