He's clearly not as good a footballer as he is an instinctive finisher.

Much like Abada and Maeda, when these guys have time to think, they aren't good. Most likely why they aren't at bigger clubs than us!

The manager's tactics are counter-productive to Kyogo's traits. Simple.

That takes nothing away from Kyogo not producing more, mind you...

He's been gash. Tactics or not he's doing simple things wrong that have nothing to do with the manager.

I also forgot how poor he can be on the ball, never seems to have it under full control

9.away games in a row he's failed to score.

In saying all this, those to the side and behind him aren't helping. Jota has been a massive loss for him and Palma is too greedy and lacks the pace to go to the byline and cut it back.

That's also where id say the tactics ARE impacting him as we aren't really playing thos kind of balls avross the box. There were a couple yesterday I did feel he should have been closer to though

    Id start Idah next game

Someone made the point yesterday he's missed Jota

    They had outstanding connection

Can't remember who mentioned it though

Has done little this season and if we had another decent striker would have had a spell on the bench. Anges failure to give Giakoumakis a run of games when he deserved it, and subsequent sale of said player, has come back to bite us.

Absolutely baffling we let that player go when we did.

Think it was a product of Anges approach to player management with Giakoumakis.

Maybe should have tried a bit more to accommodate him as he was an instinctive scorer and tough as *. Players like that are hard to come by.

GG is the sort of striker we need now, and have done for some time. I think we have tried it with Oh, but for me he isnt near that level. GG was a real physical presence and let defenders know they were in a match. Kyogo doesn't have that and when we are struggling, as we are now, he is almost a passenger. Looks bereft of confidence. It may or may not be down to Rodgers game, but that doesn't give him a pass.

Scandalous the way Ange treated GG, and we still haven't replaced him really.

Let's not forget that Rodgers asked him to effectively play as a false 9. He ain't utilising the players attributes. This will be clearly frustrating for Kyogo. Our midfield being asked to go side to side rather than forward. If I was him, I would be * off as well.

Cal further forward would aid Kyogo massively IMO. I think even playing alongside Idah would as well.

He is very isolated currently, the stats back up that we’re not getting the ball to him early enough.

Giakoumakis had a good half season with us. Our support overrate him now he's gone.

Starting to see why Ange's tactics were built around him doing very little outside of the box

He dribbled the ball yesterday and I instantly thought to myself that I hadn’t even seen him do that before. It was very strange.

It’s very rare because under Ange he was obviously played to his strengths.

Bit of a statement made by putting him on the bench.

He still has magic in him, think he will return to form again soon, probably needs a break.

Terrible when he came on, winning the penalty aside. The fact that Idah had 2 or 3 excellent chances on top of his penalties puts to bed that it’s everyone’s fault but his he’s isn’t getting as many opportunities this season.

If he's terrible look at Brendan. He's screwed the team up completely. No one is playing they way they did. They all look at a loss as to what they should be doing. Too much thinking and no more flair and instinctive play.
