[Spoiler Alert] Sopranos

BB is still my favourite mate, watched it 4 times now I think. Can understand why some people think Sopranos is better though.

 

Breaking Bad is brilliant but Sopranos is another level imo.

 

Breaking Bad is nowhere near The Sopranos, as good as it is.

I’d have GOT 1-4 top, but the rest I agree with from those 4.

The Leftovers would is probably my favourite TV series. Incredible.

 

Never properly got into The Leftovers, I did enjoy what I seen of it though.

Whether you watch it or not @singer61 ?!? One thing that is absolutely for sure....... it's a brilliant TV show. Of course, not everything is for everybody..... but on this occasion, I'd tend to just go with the overwhelming majority of people who've watched it through. I'd trust their judgement, although thats not to invalidate the opinions of those that just couldn't keep up/follow/ or get the show, and claim to have watched it but "just couldn't get into it" etc.....Each to their own and all that....... but if you've got at least half a mind for good TV drama?? I'd say it's odds-on you'll really enjoy the Sopranos.

 

Just looking at previous replies, Breaking Bad is above Sopranos for me, every episode was quality from season 3, the episode he runs down the drug dealers - edge of your seat and season 4 & 5 wipe the floor with anything about.

Do love the Sopranos though

 

Yeah a chemistry teacher taking down drug lords and cartels. Really solid storytelling.

Fun and and some great performances from the cast but above Sopranos? Please.

 

Finished season 4 today. The finale “Whitecaps” is another belter of an episode.

To be fair there are no bad ones. I’m at the point now where I’m excited to watch season 5 and 6 again but also don’t want it to end.

 

Whitecaps the episode where Tony and Carmella go after each other in the pool house thing? Absolutely captivating

To be fair it’s not, to say they’re “not even close” is plain wrong.

The Sopranos is widely thought of as the GOAT. I know people who’ve watched both and prefer BB but I’d say the majority of people who have lean towards The Sopranos.

For me the difference is when you finish an episode of The Sopranos you’re buzzing to watch the next one because you’re actually invested in the characters but with BB you’re buzzing to watch the next one because it’s ended on a massive cliffhanger. Both are genius in their own right though.
