The fact we have a larger stadium and more fans thus, along with better sponsorships, means we have a bigger financial gain over them if all other things are even.

But the UCL money is game changing for them.

It’s very frustrating that we are stuck with them.

The * we went through to finally get rid of him, and nothing has changed. It’s arguably worse.

I don’t just hate the way we are run, I genuinely can’t stand it anymore. We feel like a toxic, cliquey club that resents its supporters. They’d sooner tell us to * off than say thank you.

Even bringing back Rodgers knowing how much a percentage of the support hated him was really telling.

 

How do we even get rid of them? That's the issue. What's the process?

 

Stop buying season tickets and boycott merch. I think it's genuinely the only thing that will force change.

Buying season books then flying banners or not turning up doesn't impact the board. If they treat fans like consumers, the fans have to start behaving like consumers.

Which is miserable of course. But realistically I think it's the only way

 

True. But for every fan willing to give up their season ticket, there's a que a mile long of another "customer" willing to snap it up.

We're stuck with these * for a while yet I'm sorry to say.

 

This. As a business, we are probably more successful than most. As a football club we are stuck in the dark ages with a board who have no intention to move with the times. Wrexham have more ambition than the board here.

Desmond apparently made a personal approach to bring Rodgers back. Why do that and then shaft him in the summer and January.

 

I agree. It's so difficult to organize such a protest in such a big club. But as long as fans pump money into the club, I don't think anyone on the board really cares about how fans feel.

Individuals may get bored and leave to do something else but it won't be down to boos and banners

 

The thing that really worries me is that if we’re this incredibly naive and dysfunctional from a position of strength, how bad will things get when we’re not in a position of strength?


Make no mistake about it, the Ange appointment at the time was a lucky lucky break for that board. They made an absolute * of that appointment process and let Eddie Howe lead us along for months. I doubt they’ll be so lucky next time.

 

I think this question is the question.

It’s pretty much universally agreed now that we haven’t been run properly but the actual reason why is a mystery, although there are a few theories and it could be multiple reasons.

I guess we’ll never really know.

I tend to think it’s a combinations of reasons with a dash of incompetence.

 

100% agree mate. The last protest, aimed at them and the manager, Desmond kept Lennon in a job as a punishment to us. He's an absolute cancer to this club and need shifting ASAP. Him, Lawwell and plenty of others.

 

My feeling at the moment is the board, above all else, want to run it their way.

I think Ange scared them and it scared them how he was doing what we have all been saying for years now. We all finally see a glimpse and we were bang on correct.

I think Rodgers coming back was a shrewd move by the board to make us all think we were getting someone who, “Definitely wouldn’t come back with guarantees”.

In reality, he’s the boards man this time and they’re using him to get us back down to reality.

Why would he do it? Simple. Money.

 

We've all said it for years mate. Speculate to accumulate. Every team in football does it apart from us it would seem.

We were constantly being told that IF we negotiated the CL qualifiers, we had a higher calibre of player lined up to come in. But everytime we failed to qualify and we went to option B or C.

The last two years we've qualified automatically, and we still aim for the same calibre of player. We've been getting fed lies from this board for years and we now have to find a way get rid of them.

 

And it now looks as though they have no ambition to see us do well domestically too
