Daily Ranger reporting calf tear and out for up to 8 weeks

 

Injured for 6 weeks, officially.

 

The Japanese are contradicting the calf muscle tear storyline. Might just be a strain.

 

Rodgers confirmed he'll be out for 6 weeks.

Asked about Hatate’s current condition, the Northern Irishman replied: “It looks like he’s actually done both of his calves from what I’ve seen. So he’s probably going to be five to six weeks from what I hear.

“So it’s another part of the season where we’ve had no luck from an injury perspective. So he’ll be back very soon with us and then we’ll start the treatment on him and get him back as fit as we can.”

 

If that's true and the fact he's constantly pulling up with this problem then someone might need to look at his running style..I remember Phil O'Donnell actually had to change his stride bcoz he was constantly pulling muscles in his legs.

 

Looking to miss around nine games then.

Probably will be on the bench at best for our trip to Ibrox.

Think you're spot on there. 6 weeks after 2nd Feb is 15 March.

We've got St. Johnstone at home on the 16th, unlikely we'll see him in the squad for that. Then we have the international break - that should give him a good 2 weeks of training before away to Livi on the 30th. But, it's probably a bad idea to bring him back on their joke of a pitch.

If he does well with his rehab, he might get a bounce game during the international break and 20 mins against Livi. Then another full week of training could see him in contention for a start against them. It's unlikely though.

 

Could be oh so important for us in the tail end of the season, cannae wait till he's back and we start seeing some consistency in lineups.

 

It's mad that he's basically been injured all season. Then when he was finally fit he went to the Asian cup and got injured again. So annoying.

When he's on it I still think he's our best player. He's definitely our most important in terms of pure creativity. He adds so much to the team, his skill, vision, body feints, the way he carries the ball. No one else does what does.

 

When is he back?
