Such a depature from Ange who'd act like he never talked to the player's before but the player's themselves would say talking to Ange is what sold them on the club. Can we just roll the clocks back a year?

 

Rodgers is so tone deaf it's unreal.

That's as nice as I can be about him right now.

Can't stand him. I hate that he's our manager.

 

I'm at a loss to explain why he agreed to come back.

I get that he likes Glasgow and no doubt enjoyed his time winning everything first time around, but by all accounts he was set to take a sabbatical from football and we had to convince him to sign. So what was it that convinced him? The promise of a bunch of project signings not ready to make an impact and the sale of arguably our best player in Jota?

Here I was thinking that if he was agreeing to come back then surely he must have certain guarantees that he'll be backed. Guess not.

And what was all that talk of having a real go at Europe this season? And then you go sign Kwon, Yang, Tilio and Holm? Whaaaaa?

I'd rather he just said we went for some high qaulity targets, tried hard but they knocked us back for real Madrid and I didn't want any second choices. Bullshitter.

 

I was all for rodgers return, genuinely was but honestly the football were playing domestically is so * bad, so boring, not creating chances and we’ve dropped a lot of needless points. I’ve said before that I thought he didn’t have players he needs for his system but after this transfer window it’s either he’s not looking at players for it hard enough or he’s just not getting the players he needs so what’s the actual point of having him here when he’s playing such * football every week with these players?

Venting a bit here but that’s how I honestly feel. Needs a big big response Saturday from how we played county and performances have to drastically improve. Otherwise gonna be a long painful season

 

This. Even if he was to come out and say we had 5 targets….they all went to the EPL as the wages we could offer didn’t match up.
That’s not gonna make the board look bad publicly cos it’s common knowledge we don’t pay the same. But at least it’ll be some transparency that we’ve even looked at anyone

This is what I think happened at the Summer, part of why he's been so disinterested, and too arrogant or incapable to adjust.

Will get to end of this season and then go. Might even have agreed it already, which would explain a lot.

 

As I've said all along he's trying to play both side's and it's just plain weird to me his desire to defend the same board which shat on him from a height last time around

 

Every single one of us knew he talked ***** befire he came back. It really isn't the problem. If the recruitment was right, he'd be talking **** about his own ego instead and few of us would care.

We really should stay focussed on the actual problem, which is the recruitment. Don't let them deflect this onto Rodgers.
It's simple, really: just stop taking what he says seriously.

 

I agree mate but the last few things he’s said have been needlessly supportive of the board. His ramblings in his most recent quotes are purposeful deflections.

He’s on the board’s side right now, for whatever reason.

He only had to say after the Ross County performance that he knows we need quality in, as he’s said before. By saying what he said he actively defended the board and villainised the support for being fed up watching * every other week.

I’ve mentioned before but we all need to accept at this point none of us have a * clue what’s going on in Rodgers head at any time. I was with everyone else last summer that if he came back it must be different this time, but it's obviously not the case.

We need to throw out any assumptions we had about him. I compared him to Lennon who I felt is a very normal and easy to understand guy. Rodgers isn't like that at all. He is fake and demonstrably snakey and not to be trusted.

 

Don't know how reliable it is but heard Alan Brazil saying he's heard brendan Rodgers is not happy with what's going on in terms of transfers......de ja vu I think

 

The thing is, I really want him to prove us wrong.

But sadly, every single step has been going down that same all too familiar path.
