Aye that’s fair, but if he was at his level of 4+ years ago, you’d imagine he’d be sought after by clubs across Europe.

We also shouldn’t be signing someone who has barely played football in 3 years as our solution to the left back problem. Someone who has been riddled with injury for much of those 3 years.

But you knew that, mate.

 

Perfect. It’s no like we have had loads of injuries already this season. Might as well bring in someone else who will be injured soon enough.

 

So this is what passes as recruitment now?

Let it be known for a month you're looking for a left back, do absolutely * all work yourself and then wait til the last 24hrs to see what dregs you get offered.

He’d boost the squad by simply not being Bernabei, aye. But if the best we can do is a guy who’s barely kicked a ball in 3 years, it’s * grim.

22/23 ACL. 20/21 missed essentially 3 months of football with 4 different injuries. The season between those he made 1 appearance the entire season so never played enough to prove any sort of fitness.

It would be a concern, for sure.

 

Anyone reputable actually reporting this as a possibility or what’s the story? I’d obviously take him, better than nothing.

 

Well it’s not really.

He has a history of getting injured and he’s not played enough football since then to show those days are behind him. It’s pretty simple.

It’s not defaulting to the negative and it’s not dismissing his qualities. It’s stating the quite simple facts that he has not played football consistently at any level for 3 years and therefore to just assume he’s still the player he was half a decade ago is hopeful, to say the least.

Plus the fact the rumour seems to be it’s his agent touting him about. A ringing endorsement of his current level.

 

Gie me the latest Football Manager, and a competitive wage, and I'd get Celtic proper good signings.

The best part is: I'm no even * joking, more analysis than our scouts anyway.

Seriously, why can't we look up who's the backup LB at the likes of Atalanta, Betis, Borussia Dortmund etc. Kurzawa would be more expensive wages-wise than these.
