Trying to force a loan move to a relegation battle in Seria A shows the * is as brainless off the park as he is on it

 

Why. He's clearly not wanted by his manager. A loan is a no brainer for him.. play week to week in seria a and lecce most likely will stay up. If they don't he would be back in Glasgow anyway or get him self another move

Whys that? A player at his age wants regular first team football. The man is a Swedish international (well on the cusp) the way things are going here he isn't playing and slipping out of the Swedish setup.

The club/Rodgers have treated him like * since he signed and now when he has a chance of playing first team football, we cancel the move when it's obvious we don't rate him anyway.

He has every right to kick up a fuss.

 

According to Sky Sport Italia, the two clubs were in the process of exchanging contracts this evening when Celtic pulled the plug.

The Scottish side were seemingly worried about weakening the squad when fellow central defender Cameron Carter-Vickers sustained an injury that might be more serious than previously thought.

Lecce are waiting impatiently for developments, but it is Lagerbielke himself who seems the most frustrated by the situation.

He's been treated like * bcoz his performances have been * but rtater than get his finger out and work harder he'd rather go on a 6 month relegation battle where he'll no doubt and up back here anyway.

If that's his attitude and his level of ambition get him to *. I'd rather play Iwata there anyway

Rodgers obviously doesn't rate him. Lagerbielke wants first team football. An agreement was made then we blocked it because of an injury.

It's * from the club when it's clear there's no intention to play him anyway.

Imagine slating a guy for wanting to play football.

 

And if we let him go 2nyt knowing CCV is out again, leaving us with only 3 cbs for the run in would that have been a smart decision?

Signed in the summer and immediately pushed down the pecking order behind Nat Phillips (a loanee who is an utter diddy). Wasn't great but hardly awful in his performances. Started against Motherwell in September then wasn't seen for 3 months until injuries got him back in the team - scores a winner in the CL for us. Then booted out of the squad for 5 of the next 7 games.

Gets a good opportunity for first team football and we block it to, seemingly, cover for an injury to CCV. Is it going to result in any more game time for him? Not a chance. We're doing it to cover our arses because our shambles of a recruitment team is too lazy or incompetent (or both) to get sufficient cover for 6 months.

So aye, he's been shafted from day one.

Rodgers obviously doesn't rate him. So an injury to CCV should change absolutely nothing. Either he's good enough or he isn't. If he isn't, loan him out and bring someone else in for 6 months.

Lagerbielke will still be behind Scales, Welsh and Nawrocki. He has every right to be raging that a loan to Serie A and first team football has been blocked at the last minute, so he can be 4th choice here.

He's hardly whinging to the Italian press. Saying he'd love to play in Serie A isn't him having a go at Celtic.

 

Don’t blame him if he has been trying to force a move we’ve basically told him to * off and then asked him to stay last minute as we might need him.

Let him go if the deal suits the club

Not playing ahead of Phillips was a strange one. If there was something in place with Liverpool around game time then it would be understandable as Phillips was rotten.

Lagerbielke didn’t cover himself in glory with the games he did play though either. He was obviously being left out for a reason as well. Unless you think Rodgers was just doing it for the sake of it?

He would be better away now to be fair, but I can see why we aren’t letting him go right now as it would leave us really short. If that’s down to Rodgers, I can’t really blame him though. The scouting department need to take the blame for that. Lagerbielke should never have been signed in the first place.

 

Uv spent the last half hour going on about how unfairly he's been treated so clearly you think he deserves more game time than he's had. Which is definitely hyping him up if you think any of his performances should have equated to any more game time than he's had.
