Looks like we've learnt our lesson, and stopped recruiting!

How does this shambles of a move get greenlit but nothing virtually nothing this window?

 

This transfer epitomises that * show that is the recruitment and transfer strategy in place at the club.

Someone needs punted for this. A player signed and loaned after 6 months with pretty much no profit made.

Why the * did Rodgers agree to this as well. Makes him look stupid.

 

They were both probably * that game but Scales especially. Was booting it straight out and Stevie May was chipping it over his head and running round him. Tbf to Scales he’s turned it round big time since then.

 

Aye that was his worst game I think..

Lagerbielke didn't get any quicker though. Seen him get done everytime a ball went over the top when he played..

 

Just an embarrassment for the club. Not only have we signed a CB that didn’t fit our style of play but we blew a decent potion of our budget on him AND we put him on wages that were far too big that a * Serie A club can’t afford him.

Starfelts agent has done us up like a * kipper.

 

Maybe that's why we're not recruiting....we have to get rid of the useless recruitment team first.

Tbh I don't care as long as we get money back for him in the summer.

 

Amazes me that this guy has been written off after only a handful of games. I say this because after the performance Scales put in against St Johnstone I thought he should never kick a ball for us again. Feels to me like he’s being used by Rodgers to make a point

 

I try to remember the position we were in in the summer with regards centre halves. We had CCV, Starfelt who was likely to move on and 3 guys who were not seen as good enough.

So 1 first team starter which is obviously not a situation you want to be in. Scales was also likely to move on so we bring in Nawrocki and Lagerbielke. Seems like good business to me, just so happened that Scales took his chance and Welsh seems to have favour with Rodgers, so it's hindsight that makes Gus look like a ridiculous signing, I was happy at the time bringing two centre halves in.

Not worked out obviously, but the boy is a good talent so he'll maybe do better somewhere his talents are more suited.

 

It's wild that in the summer we were supposed to get rid of the deadwood and sign players to have a go at Europe and here we are 6 months later sending the dross we signed in the summer out on loan

 

Not only that but our squad is even worse now not just in terms of quality but also even more bloated with players who will never be good enough. An absolute disaster this summers window and so far this month has been.

 

The problem is we replaced Starfelt, who’s an extremely quick CB with a guy who’s slow as *.

He might work out to be an excellent defender for Lecce and it genuinely wouldn’t surprise me if he done very well but his pace was never going to suit us with our high line.

Highlights the complete ridiculousness of the recruitment process again. To take the word of an agent, who’s acting in the name of a defender who wants out and a defender who wants a move… it’s almost like our recruitment has no strategy.

 

Personally I think it’s says recruitment and head coach are at logger heads …. I dont believe that means gus is a bad player personally as good as Rodgers is I think he should be playing players that where bought for him rather than Plato g a loan from the epl who actually turned out * compared to gus

Nah Nawrocki is Starfelt's replacement, Gus was for working on over a period of time. He is slow and has shown he's still raw, but he was the best defender in Sweden last season so obviously has shown enough to suggest he was worth bringing in to work on.

As I say, it's not worked out, we move on.

 

He doesn’t fit our style of play, he is slow and not what we need, was panic buy due to injuries in the summer.


Shocking recruitment, not the lads fault either but he’s simple not good enough for us.
