Never really had the chance games wise. Feels like one of these guys that’s going to leave and a have a really good career elsewhere.

 

Pretty much how that saga went was Starfelt wanted to be closer to Jacynta.
He was moving on regardless. But Gia agent used the "I've another CB waiting for you Celtic if you just let Carl leave quietly now".

We took the lazy route and accepted the recommendation of a * agent - not even another scout, an agent.

Bad here we are.

I'm still wondering, which signing have we made at all for this season can we legit say the manager wanted?

Everyone connected to Lagerbielke transfer should be fired. Every * single one of them. What an absolute fiasco..

 

The complete opposite of what Starfelt was and yet we went for him due to them having the same agent..

Sums up the state of our recruitment..

He looked a decent player in his reels before signing but is far too slow to ever make it with us..

 

Serie A isn't wealthy is it? Some clubs are but Lecce get get attendances less than half ours, sell far less merch, don't get in Europe.

 

I'm going to keep repeating it: I've never seen a Celtic manager backed less in his first season.

My personal interpretation FWIW: I'm genuinely starting to think Ange's success went to their heads and made them arrogant.

 

You do really wonder what our scouts look at stats wise. Surely they saw he had no pace. Genuinely astounding how we don’t recruit people with attributes that our style of play actually suits or requires.

High line means needing some kind of recovery pace. Was the same when we got Duffy in on loan - in what world did a backs to the wall defender be required for a team that tries to play out from the back.

It’s filling square pegs in round holes and we seem to keep doing it.

 

Nawrocki looks very slow as well. Mental.

It’s fine to look at someone recommended by an agent but surely you then do due diligence and read up on reports. Clearly we didn’t otherwise it would have been obvious he wasn’t a fit for our style of play.

I literally couldn't believe my eyes that St Johnstone game at home when he was getting left for dead. Think it was Stevie May one time as well..

 

If it was obvious he wasn't fit for us how the * did our "scouts" miss that? Its also very clear Rodgers didn't want him which brings about a whole different set of questions.

Mate it's an absolute disaster and again highlights we have absolutely no plan or strategy regarding transfers. We are an absolute mess

 

Far too heavy in this area, quantity wise anyway. Just the worry that we get a few injuries again. CCV being out most of the last 10 months on and off and Welsh breaking down whenever he’s called upon makes me think we need another. Phillips and Lager out and McKenna in would be ideal. Would improve us and trim the squad.

 

Think it was Scales who was getting ragdolled all that game if i remember correctly.

Maybe but Lagerbielke was getting roasted for pace. Someone jog my memory..

 

Slow as * and awful on the ball. Another one that whoever scouted him needs emptied. Same goes for whoever scouted Bernabei.
