He’s scored two winners against the Huns and two opening goals in the Champions League under Rodgers, it can’t be all bad.

Yet again, people are underestimating how important Jota was to our creativity, and Kyogo in particular.

You can't pass the ball to someone standing behind 2 centre half's 2 yards offside

If he can’t fit into Brendans system then he and others such as Taylor need replaced.

We went back to slow pedestrian build up play. Totally nullifies his play and ability to run in behind.

Moving the ball quicker would help. Find his runs early or get it wide and fizzed across for him, agree he's been a bit of a passenger but the style of play is defo a big part of it.

I sit behind the goal and lost count of number of times Ccv, scales, Mcgregor, Bernardo or o'riley got the ball inside their half and looked to play forward only to have no option and be forced to play it wide.

Folk are moaning about how the side to side passing is killing his game but the side to side passing is as much his fault as anyone's.

Essentially it's the managers fault but not bcoz of style of play, it's his fault bcoz he's not went and brought in a striker capable of playing as a focal man/target man in his team bcoz clearly Kyogo can't do it and it's probably gonna cost us the tiltle.

Teams don't win leagues with strikers who score 11 goals in 31 games. It's a * abysmal scoring record

Abysmal today and Rodgers can’t be blamed for it either. His touch, link up play and movement just miles off it. The last minute summed him up, decent touch and we’ve got a 3 on 1 to make it 2-0 but instead he loses it and we almost drop 2 points almost immediately after.

He’s got no competition and knows it, can only blame a manager/style of play so much when he’s not even doing the basics right at the moment.

abada put in 1 dangerous looking cross yesterday palma didnt put in any ,nobody slipped him in a decent ball from cm ,how do people expect kyogo to do anything when nobody even attempts to give him the ball ,if he wasnt making runs or missing chance after chance you coud say he was terrible we could of had messi playing in his position and he still wouldnt of had a kick of it

So essentially unless the other 10 played are doing everything for him and putting balls onto a plate 2 yards from goal for tap ins, while he stands around doing nothing he's no use?

I expect him to show for the ball, I expect him to get involved, I expect him to hav more than 5 touches per half. U know they way pretty much every other striker we have had in the last 20 odd years has.

People can continually moan about the style of play and blame the other 10 players and manager all they want but argument falls apart when you see how much more involved Oh is when he plays.

And Iv used the example before, and I know it was only a friendly but go watch Maeda's performance against Yokohama to see how it should be done.

I'm actually really suprised Rodgers hasn't went with Maeda up top yet although that may have been down to lack of options out wide.

If rodgers is still the manager next season then the club need to find him a quality starting striker in the same mould as French eddie or dembele, one who gets more involved with play and capable of creating his own chances.
I love kyogo but I don't think he is the answer going forward if rodgers is still in charge.

Rodgers’ game has killed him completely. We’re not getting in behind and setting up those cut backs for Kyogo to finish from 5-10 yards out.

We’re asking Abada and Maeda to beat players and create chances for Kyogo, which they simply cannot do. And Palma is too busy doing whatever pish he gets up to.

The style of football and the lack of creativity from the wingers is nullifying Kyogo.

the other 10 players have to try and pass the ball to him ,why do you think he only had 5 touches a half .he is still showing and making all the runs he always did the difference is rodgers's slow side to side pish has given the players the reason to not try and pick him out as there may be a 2 yard pass on to someone behind you .ange talked about players being brave on the ball ,that has gone nobody will try and play kyogo in .oh and maeda and the best footballers on the planet couldnt score without someone passing to them

As iv already mentioned I sit behind the goal and watched him spend the entire 2nd half standing behind 2 centre half's 2 yards offside. He's offering absolutely * all

I wouldnt be too bothered if ange happened to come in and buy him now. In anges style he's potentially as good as larsson. However I'm starting to see why japan don't choose him. A slight tactical change and he's lost the the entire game/season... its either kyogo needs replaced or Rodgers.

Currently both being replaced would be grand.

Then Rodgers shouldn't be in charge. If we aren't scoring you either change striker or change tactics to suit the striker. He's done neither because let's be honest Rodgers is a bang average manager. He's living off winning trophies with less competition than Lennon (he's a gash manager too) or Ange faced.

    This.

Putting it completely down to Rodgers is stupid. The player himself hasn't been at it for months.

Even going back to Lazio away his touch and link up caused us to lose a goal. He's not doing the simple things right. That ain't a managers fault.

The change of style hasn't helped but Kyogo getting off blame free is laughable.
