Very happy with CCV commiting to the club for years to come. He's loving his time at the club.

 

For all we’ve been * recruitment wise, the business at tying guys down we’ve done very well at protecting our assets.

We were rumoured to be trying hard to do this in the summer, and now with solid interest from big leagues, we’ve tied him down at a crucial time. Doesn’t mean he see’s it out, but tying down MOR, Calmac, Kyogo, Hatate, Abada and CCV on new contracts - that’s major and the only sign of competence we’ve seen in regards to insuring players on the pitch for us lately.

If we were doing similar sort of competent business in the recruitment bringing new guys in, it would be recognised far more than has been so far.

Honestly, I didn’t see us being able to get him, Abada or Hatate signed up for longer. Protecting us both in being able to demand top dollar and making sure our top players are rewarded and are happy here.

If O’Riley hadn’t got a good bump in wage, and a new contract, I suspect the interest from Madrid is one we couldn’t stop from happening.

 

Club doing it during transfer window instead of actually signing NEW quality players.
That being said it’s great news but if we get the right offer it’ll be bye and thanks, the man himself is genuinely happy playing here, long may it continue.

We all know the love and passion our fans have for the club, there is nothing better than playing at a packed Celtic Park and I am delighted to be playing my football here.

 

Good news and hopefully means at least another 18 months of him here, highly doubt he'd move on 6 months after signing new deal.

But gotta question the timing of it, did the same in the summer with Kyogo, maeda and oriley. Doing it during the window looks like an attempt to divert attention away form the fact the club are doing * all in the transfer market.

 

Surely most deals are always done during the transfer windows though for contract renewals though? The ones that are outwith the window are usually extensions adding on to the time from the window dates.

Showed his importance by winning a couple of one v ones. Compare that to Bernabei, when they ran right through him at the end.

 

He was solid until he went off. Things would be a lot worse if we didnt have him.

 

CCV the only positive from yesterdays * show, he does bring a certain composure to our backline. We seemed to loose control of the game when he went off.

 

Injured again away for a scan yesterday is word on street

 

Probably why we have put a hold on Lagerbielke going

 

So instead of getting a replacement, we decide to keep a player who's already been deemed not good enough.

 

Should just go and get McKenna if that's the case.
