Liverpool are a bigger club than Spurs; but the gap is not as big as it is from Spurs to us. He can still win the league and the CL where he is.

Add to that the fact that he had achieved all he realistically could at us and that he's just getting started at Spurs and I'll be genuinely amazed if he goes to Liverpool.

    No he can't.

Spurs aren't winning the league or Champions League. They're a tier beneath that.

Liverpool are one of the best teams in the world. Spurs are not.

I totally disagree, mate. All the foundations are there. They could and should have won the league in 2016 (they were the best team that year) and reached a CL final in 2019. Nearly men, I know; but Ange can change that.

They have the tightest man in football pulling the strings.

Ange will win silverware there but it won't be the league or Champions League.

There is no loyalty in football no more. If Liverpool come looking ange he's away IMO. * know he might not get a second chance of an offer like that and if he does take it if offered. *! That man will have been on some rollercoaster these last few years. To get to manage Glasgow Celtic that came out of nowhere. Win all sorts of trophies in his two years with us then to get a big club in the prem and now one of the biggest clubs in world football. What a story!

I would love to see it happen TBH because I don't like spurs. Don't know what it is but subconsciously, I don't like them. While there's only one team for me and that's the famous Glasgow Celtic, but I don't mind seeing Liverpool win the big trophies and do well.

I think you might be surprised by Ange, mate. I think he'll end up at a club like Liverpool or City if he does as well as I hope he does at Spurs; but first, I think he'll achieve something at Spurs and that has to be a league or a CL. A cup doesn't cut it (no one's touting Rodgers for these huge jobs and a cup at Leicester is a bigger achievement than one at Spurs- not to mention 2 5th-place finishes).

He's not going to win the league this year (although I'm crossing everything that he gets the CL place); but if they back him in the summer, I don't see why Spurs can't be genuine challengers next season.

Ange is a huge asset also off the pitch. Great personality etc, making people routing for him and for his employer of the day. It's an added value.

Lawwell is tighter than the tightest Jew.

The chances of Michael Beale fixing the problems at Manchester United would be like if I plopped my 2-year old nephew down in front of the Large Hadron Collider and said "here, make this work".

[QUOTE="Random Review, post: 7600969, member: 36714"]I think you might be surprised by Ange, mate. I think we've heard this one before! He's going to stay for Europe. Fans love him. We e got money. Surely he's not going to go to spurs who are a basket case bla bla bla. That was us all not to long ago. Ange gets an offer he can't refuse, he's gone! He's fine it everywhere he's been. Liverpool offer him a ridiculous signing on few, ridiculous wages, ridiculous budget plus the fact it's Liverpool. That man is gone! In today's world, offers like this might not always be on the table and when they do, you grab them with both hands. Nothing surprises me anymore in football!

I interpret his moves differently. He's ruthlessly ambitious to achieve what he wants to achieve in the game. That's why he left Yokohama for us and why he left us for Spurs. These moves were no-brainers. This is simply not the case with Spurs and Liverpool. He can win the league and/or the CL at Spurs. The club is huge enough to give him a platform to do that. He's already started building that and he'll back himself to succeed. There's nothing he can do at Liverpool that he has lvirtually no chance of doing at Spurs.

Now yes, Liverpool are one of the few clubs that are bigger than Spurs and in fact one of the biggest 5 or 6 clubs in the world. That would be an advantage no doubt. But an advantage is not the same as a whole new possibility. At us, he had literally zero chance of winning a big league (since we don't compete in one) and essentially zero (for all practical purposes) chance of winning the CL. That's why he left us IMO. So they are two different situations.

Now admittedly, there are some obvious advantages at Liverpool; but there are also some disadvantages. Firstly, he's already 6 months into a project that will take at least 2 or 3 years to reach the standard he will need. At Liverpool, he'd need to start again. Secondly, he'd be replacing one of the top 2 or 3 coaches in the world. I actually don't think that would put Ange off; but it is a definite disadvantage. Thirdly, Klopp has moulded that team to the way he wants to play. Ange would have to overhaul a lot of it IMO. That might prove unpopular with fans and, again, would add to the time required to get his team to the level he wants.

If he continues to do well at Spurs, it's only a matter of time before he joins a team like Liverpool or City; but I'll be astonished if it's next summer for all the reasons I mentioned above.

Ange himself didn't think they were unlucky.
