Just play Frame. The only guy who’s not been there and done it and is a young guy that would play in that lineup, surely 10 guys can help him through it, especially after he’s came on and done it against a much better team than County.

Or if that is too risky, just play Berna. He’s done it before even though he’s no good enough, he’s good enough for the next couple games

Can I copy and paste that quote mate? Download it into PDF, print it off, have someone carve the quote into pure granite and smack Lawwell upside the heid with it?

Kobayashi at left back. What a palaver.

I agree just play Frame. The lad can kick a ball he's already halfway to a Celtic left back.

In fairness to Rodgers, I think Scales was on his way out because ANGE didn't rate him,not Rodgers. He was returned to us pretty quickly, and had the (fortunate, unwanted) opportunity under Brendan's tutelage and has responded in kind... Rodgers has never said anything but great things about him, that I recall...

Personally, I thought there was a great player there, but thought he'd never get the time to show it for us. I'm delighted he's surprising even me, by really going for it...

It's strange that he responds to Rodgers, but couldn't settle for Ange. And then you look at Ralston, who propelled in Ange's setup and look at sea under Rodgers...

The easy option to get your £4m signing thats just started to show his worth, next to the best defender at the club who starts when fit regardless, is to move Scales over to LB. If he doesn’t keep up the level he has all season and Nawrocki plays well next to CCV, Scales dropped to the bench after that will have zero complaints. If Scales was £4m signing in the summer, he wouldn’t be considered as moving out that position, because he’s held it together in every game he’s been judged as not being able to reach that level.

6 CL games he’s been top 3 players for us performance wise, a MotM at Ibrox and was peerless the game at Parkhead and was overshadowed by a Calmac channelling Pirlo and Zidane. It shouldn’t be an option to move him, its the easy option though

Rodgers liked him pre-season clearly btw, but he was leaving after we spent half the budget on two CB’s. Then when we needed him to he stood up and not just to do his bit, to lead and inspire others around him. Whilst having different partnerships every game, sometimes in the same games. Madness, what he’s done this year is so impressive man, and he’s done it with quality not just effort

If Ross County is overwhelming for him compared to Feyernoord, then just sub him and let him develop in the Colt team a bit more. We should be able to carry one young player, if he doesn’t do himself justice.

BR praised his mentality the game he played in the CL. That’s the biggest thing to have faith in when trusting a youngster, the mentality.

Weirdest thing for me is Scales got MotM against Betis when it was 2 second string teams, but Uroghide then Soro may have been the other two pushing MotM that day. Uroghide was RB, Scales LB and Soro Box to Box. 3 guys playing out of there favourite position. Absolutely convinced me that is Soro’s position not DM that, he can run wherever the * he wants there :56:

I more meant the options, it's depressing.

It shouldn't come down to this, no harm to Taylor but we should have majorly upgraded on him by now.

    Exactly. Squad player mate.

Taylor should be the guy stepping in when the guy who is currently Taylor gets injured.

And one of those guys who are crucial regardless of being not an automatic starter, One of Ange’s MotM interviews on Open Goal he put into words something I always felt was important, and it’s when he was saying about the dressing room having a personality that you can trust and he wouldn’t get anyone to threaten that regardless of talent. And guys like Greg Taylor, as a squad guy for me ideally, we * need * like that. By all accounts, Scott Bain’s another like that. Anything you hear about him seems a * that’s there knitting the squad together in the background, possibly cos he’s aware he needs to do something to keep getting contracts for us or go to Aberdeen or something for 3/4’s the money he’s on :56:

But Seigrest couldn’t grasp that. It’s why I loved guys like Johnny Hayes or Stephen Pearson as well

Mate I have no doubt that you need positive influences like that at the club. I've been up and down on Taylor over the years but there is no doubt Ange tapped into something. Before and after though? Not for me mate.

A team who stick their striker on the opposing goalkeepers right foot to stop him launching balls at your left back, badly needs an upgrade in that position.

Definitely want an upgrade mate, I’m talking about someone I’d want as a professional backup. Think Taylor is a good example of what should be a squad option who raises levels in training and in the squad as a whole, Ralston is another one of them and at times I think right now AJ needs to up it because Ralston’s breathing down his throat. Welsh is another one of them for me as a young guy in the team. It’s why we handed Forrest an extension with much reduced money, Ange went out his way to point that out.

I’d love to have guys equally as good and talented as back ups, but just look at GG to show that it doesn’t happen at our level. A guy who’s that good isn’t happy being a bench player covering injuries or subbed on for 15 minutes a game with the first choice well established infront of them. GG coming on for Kyogo 2 minutes into a Hun game is the least concerned I’ve ever been with a star striker getting injured early in that fixture. We can’t hold onto that, and if we try to there’s going to be a * unhappy dressing room. Jura blamed us going for AJ for knowing he needs away from us, that is a shitebag move from him if true and something I don’t believe from his interview saying it either tbf, he was bursting to leave a year or so in and we kept him longer than he liked until after the WC.

We are now gonna rush out and panic buy/loan a left back to cover a few games when it should have been the number 1 priority position last window never mind this one and a top target capable of taking Taylor's place should have been identified months ago and should have been in a position to sign as soon as the window opened.

A complete ams utter * shambles of a club

Even if Greg Taylor isn't injured, it's imperative we bring in a left back ASAP.

    100% correct.

I'd rather see Frame come in and fail than Bernabei come in and do a mediocre job.

If Taylor is out, Frame has to start for us. There's no doubt in my mind about it.

Starting a right back of center back in there ahead of Frame would send the wrong message to everyone.

Getting what we deserve with this injury. No sympathy for us.

Be a * riot if we lose a game though while he's out. * you Peter Lawell
