Sky Sports News understands the offer is an initial loan plus an obligation to buy.

Once again folks, This isn't a loan offer ..its in the first line of the article.

I’d imagine these types of deals are rock solid. If someone reneged on it no one would ever do it again, especially players.

It's being reported as an obligation to buy same as we had for Maeda and Iwata, it would be a done deal and a loan in name only, a technicality so they're still officially registered at the parent club and you don't actually complete the move til the summer, it's all ffp and putting the start point of deals into the next tax year.

    Does he want to go?

    Maybe he's happy here?

    Yeah, I know all that.

Does that mean the money is paid up before the tax year, or rolling in to the next though?

Why not do something like sell him but obligation to loan him back to us for the rest of the season? The board get their balance sheet wankbank material, we get Matt for the rest of the season

Interesting that majority of comments are about the money and the deal.
That's all well and good, but the money means absolutely * all if it's not spent and sits dormant on a fat balance sheet with a portion paid out to Lawell(s) in bonuses.

What do you think? Atletico Madrid, La Liga, CL, double/triple the money. He would need his head checked if he turned that down :56:

Hopefully the stories just a load of *.

We have a few links to another * dumplin from south korea.

That's how we do business now. Sell ur best players for £25m and replace them with koreans for a fraction of the price.

Reporting on sky sports news bulletins now, looks like there is really something in it - conspicuous by it's absence tho is any mention of the fee.

*. 2 mins after posting about not caring about the money, I'm caring about the money:39:
Lawell has us all under his spell:eek1:

Lots of folk mentioning not letting him go without a replacement.

    His replacement is already here.
The board will view Bernardo at £4m as his replacement and even then will no doubt take most of the summer to finalise the deal

If we sell him this window, it's jumping off a bridge material.

He'll get a big move in the summer. I just hope he wants to finish the season here knowing it'll happen in 5 months time and doesn't have to rush a move.

Of course.. didn't mind Jura as we had cover in the door. Totally forgot about Frimpong, probably because I've tried to blank that period in history from my memory

Youve just backed up what iv said,we dont spend big we hoard our cash,as iv said people need to get the thoughts of us spending big(for us thats over 3 million)just because we sell a player at a profit,it just doesnt happen.
