The real problem isn't that a team wants to come in and buy him. The problem is the complete inability and refusal to spend some significant money to upgrade the position.

If we sold O'Riley for £30m and bought Gronbaek for £12m and paid the buy out for Bernardo at £4m, I'd be happy with that because we would have actively replaced him. We won't do that though. We won't pay over a certain price and we won't go over a certain wage and that's a massive * problem.

Was thinking about this the other day, when someone posted quotes from Ange about breaking our wage structure to become more agile in the transfer market. Is it possible that the manager will always be the highest earner in the footballing dept. and so when BR came back on a bumper salary that suddenly we could dish out bigger wages to the playing squad - Kyogo & others signing new contracts in the same summer. If your Lenny's, Ronny's and Ange's are only on £40k/week we can't pay a player more than that due to the wage structure and not to undermine the manager?
