Can you recommend players to celtic under 16 years old ?
2 players at local team will 100% make it & have Premiership clubs watching them already. Both big celtic fans, will give celtic the edge over the other big prem clubs.

We should have a look at Andrej Ilic at Vålerenga. The big Serb signed for them in August, scored 11 in 16 before Vålerenga was relegated from Eliteserien. Vålerenga's sporting director said that they won't sell Ilic for less than €5m, but they might have to given their situation and Ilic not wanting to play at the Norwegian second tier the coming season. Rumour has it that Cardiff just put in a bid for him.

18 year old playing for Bastia in Ligue 2. 5 in 10 for them so far.

1 in 1 cap for Guinea.

Looks a handful. Definition of raw but the kinda player you'll see at one of the RB clubs in a couple year.

Aye, I'd take him and loan him out.

I'd do that to a few. If only we were up and running able to do this regularly...

    Aye good signing on paper.

Linked with RB Leipzig recently. Make you wonder how they've managed it.

Patrick Berg was one i was disappointed to miss out on. Back at Bodo now. I think he would be more the type we need than Gronbaek.

    International experience and a captain.

Berg is a cracking player the only thing though is he is very similar to McGregor in that he often plays as the lone 6 looking to dictate play and start attacks.

As has been shown with us players signed for that position struggle for game time as McGregor plays so much.

Could they play as a double pivot and that would allow your other centre midfielder to push right on? It is actually how Rodgers typically played before coming back here with the likes of Maddison, Rogic, Courtinho etc.

Although for me the main thing our midfield lacks is legs and physicality really, Bernardo helps with his ball winning but it is very similar to O’Riley in that he isn’t the quickest.

Someone akin to 16/17 Armstrong would be ideal for this team to me or perhaps even Ntcham (when he could be bothered), have good running power, a decent strike from around the edge of the box and can do a bit of everything both on and off the ball. Ledley would be another example although he played within himself a lot of the time.

Alternatively a Wanyama type in a double pivot.

Two defensive/deeper lying mids is the change i feel Rodgers needs to make if he wants to make any kind of progress in europe, more-so in away games and/or against better quality opposition.
Otherwise I feel we are just going to see more of the same.

Being more pragmatic and structured defensively doesnt mean we need to abandon attacking football.

I don’t disagree with this either but if we were to go down that approach I would pair McGregor with a Wanyama type ideally. Or at least a pretty mobile, ball winner. Berg is very stylistically similar to McGregor, both good players so probably could work it out.

On player suggestions if Abada is going along with MJ and Forrest, get Benfica on the phone again for a loan to buy off Tiago Gouveia.

A 22 year old winger comfortable on either wing, plenty of skill and creativity, had a good season out on loan at Estoril last year. 5 goals and 5 assists in 29 games is not a bad return. Looks Jota-esq.

Mentioned Tiago Gouveia here last summer. He was close to being loaned to Cadiz but ended up staying and played some minutes (but not that many). We are really stacked upfront. I believe it is harder to get him than would be in the summer but with a decent buy-option (10M€ or something along these lines) Benfica might consider it.

Tiago Gouveia (W) and Henrique Araújo (CF, if you happen to need one) would be excellent shouts for you. And the latter would be an easy deal at this stage, I am assuming.

Hes 5’10” so he is more physically imposing than McGregor. At least he should be.

Wouldnt be a bad thing to have two leaders in the middle of the park either.
