The real problem with the second team right now is there is no proper place for the team to play that allows players to bridge the gap from academy to first team. Being stuck playing in the highland league just does not cut it. The ideal would be for the sfa and sfl to get their * together and allow us to play our second team in the league system with the restriction the second team cannot go above the second tier. Given that has not happened as of yet though we should be looking to loan out more second team players to other clubs in the league system.

 

I would have thought Abada would be the back up to Kyogo for now. Either way I hope we get something sorted with Vata as I think he has genuine potential. Will be telling I think if he is in the squad and at least on the bench tomorrow or not.

 

Would be good if he signed a new contract and we got him a good loan move. Maybe send him over to Admira for 6 months, come back and do pre season with us. Then either give him some chances or send him on loan to an SPL team.

 

If we lose him it will just show that the Board and Rodgers have no plans in developing players, Ange gave youth players chances and generally tried his best to keep them

 

Ange played them in the first half season, when he really * had to. You didn't really see them after that.

 

100%. Anyone saying Ange promoted youth is off their rocker.

To Ange's credit though he didn't make it an excuse when he had to. Which ironically for me makes it all the more galling he didn't play more youths when it was optional.

 

Personally I would love to see him sign a new contract with us and then have us loan him out to another spl team on January 31st for the rest of this season.

Ange only played them cause he had no choice really. Rodgers gave frame game times in champions league there is opportunities there.

Needs to be in the right situation if you’re 3-0 up with 20 go then bring them on it’s harder for us to do so with the expectation to win every week. Manager can’t risk it as much with fans and league etc

 

Frame got played in a dead rubber, did well and never been seen again. We have not gave youth a chance this season at all. Mikey Johnston has had far to much game time that could have been given to a youth, at one point we went into a game with Forrest as the only real attacking sub on the bench instead of putting youth in there too

Don’t necessarily think he fancies a loan move whilst still being considered a fringe player here going by the way things are Going. Seems to me like he’s wanting first team football and if he ain’t getting it here then he’s offski. Perhaps he should have just knuckled down and his chance would have came

 

I don't hold anything against the boy if he leaves he hasn't been given a shot here so what would be the point at signing a new contract at 19 especially when there seems to be a good amount of interest in him....

 

you choose to read a part of that I said the reason why it seems harder for the manager is that we haven’t had a chance in league to play them as we’re always under pressure to win. It’s ok for the likes of Motherwell etc with youth as fans are more understanding
