We can all see that St Mirren play more defensively and more compact so Kwon is absolutely perfect for them.

We know Hibs are trying to play football on the deck and are arguably the best footballing team outside of Celtic and the huns. Holm would be perfect for them.

We know that Kobayashi and Tilio don't quite have the physicality to play in the league. Get them over to Japan with Harry Kewell where it's less physical and more technical.

Kwon Hyeok-kyu has already made quite the impact at St Mirren.

The 22-year-old last week joined the club on loan until the end of the season from Celtic.

While he's still to make his competitive debut for the Buddies, although that could come in tomorrow's Scottish Cup fourth-round tie against Queen of the South, he's made a big impression on the squad.

He travelled out to Spain to take part in St Mirren's winter break training camp in the sun.

And it was his singing ability that wowed Stephen Robinson, the rest of the staff and the players.

The Buddies boss said: “Kwon has been excellent, he has fitted in really well.

“He’s a character as well so we have really enjoyed him and we found out he was a good singer as well. That was entertaining.

“I don’t know what he sang, it was in Korean but it was better than most of our lads. Football-wise he has been excellent on the pitch.

“He has taken to what we are trying to do and it is a compliment to the staff here that we have been trusted to try to develop him because he hasn’t had loads of game time.

“But Celtic signed him for big money and we can see why. He is a talented boy. He will be available to play.

“I’m looking to bring one if not two more in, another forward and potentially competition at left-wing back. Every new signing gives the club a lift.”

Kwon’s initiation song during the training camp clearly made a big impression on his new teammates.


The best initiation I have ever seen,” said defender James Bolton.

“The voice wasn’t great but for energy, the best I’ve ever seen.

“I don’t think anyone was expecting it either. I think everyone was just expecting him to sing a Korean song that nobody had heard of and it was a Korean song, but he got us going. He was class. He was crackers, but very good. He’s a really good lad and I think he will fit in.”

 

Atleast he’s settling in well. Robinson looking for a forward and left wing back. Send him bernabei or Mitchell frame until the end of the season…… maybe mj aswell keep them sweet and get the lads game time

 

When he makes it big, he'll flash up in a St. Mirren top, as teams you forgot they played for..

Would be an incredible turnaround if he’s to be the solution to our long running CDM problem. Hopefully 6 months of regular football and comes back strong in the summer.

If Rodgers is talking him up to Robinson and then Robinson is talking him up. You also have Rodgers saying like ajer he has attributes but needed a loan then give the guy a chance in pre season if he shows up good for St mirren
