I'm not sure it was the same people but this guy was being called another project and now that somebody else has bid for him we've missed out haha.

 

When you look at the 3 * we have as goalies and the calibre of teams being linked you can see why people are frustrated and * called khun a project ffs wouldn't read much into people opinions

 

Think its clear now, our scouting 'dept' is made up of about 3 folk, with 2 of them being Lawells, and any 'scouting' done, means taking agents words, "aye my client is brilliant" or just watching YouTube highlight videos.

 

Does anyone know that we haven't made contact but the player hasn't been wanting to commit for now to see his options? Far too easy to say the club * up all the time. Some folk make complaining about transfers their whole personality in here

 

Think people are coming to these conclusions, not from this guy, but from watching years and years of slow, * poor, ill thought through reactionary dealings in the transfer market.

 

Was only a matter of time the government was gonna get involved literally flinging billions out of the country on players from other leagues then selling them or letting them go for much less

It's a sad time as a Celtic fan, when this season's "marquee" signings are Palma and Kuhn.
Absolutely no offence at all to either of them, but both are still projects/hope to make a profit on type players. Neither are coming in as 26/7 year olds with 4-6 years experience and ready to go.

One signing in nearly 3 weeks of the window being opened.

A properly run football club - especially one with our finances, support base and expectancy for success should have a top class scouting department.

This for me would mean multiple targets for multiple positions vetted well in advance for the multitude of possible squad outcomes - injuries and transfers - not to mention a player not being good enough after said scouting.

If we're making contact and being told we have to wait for a player to decide if he wants to come when we're neck and neck in a pivotal title race, then we should be moving on to other targets which we've scouted immediately. What you're suggesting makes us sound like a wee lassie waiting for a boy to text her and then seeing him with another girl. We need to sort it the * out now.

 

Maybe the scenario is that we have moved on to looking at other options because this guy wanted to wait it out? Nobody knows.

Is there improvements that could be made in our scouting? Almost certainly, same with many clubs the world over. But there is a lot of hysteria and hyperbole born out of frustration of not knowing what's going on.

 

I do agree with this 100%. I remember being furious all Summer and realise it's not healthy. I've tried to care less this window, but honestly it appears our board don't give a * about making our team better. It's so strange.

Even if we ran them out of town - who takes the helm?! Better the devil you know isn't how I want to think of it, but imagine we brought in a whole new board and they were worse...

 

Didn't think we would get a goalkeeper this window, anyway. The general rumours have been that we would target a GK in the summer after Hart leaves/retires.

90% of us on here have never seen him play, except a youtube compilation video. It's also all we have seen of Jung from Korea. We don't go for the Icelandic keeper, we are a joke. We are close to signing the Korean, we are a joke.

Too much hysteria at the minute.

 

Based on not inside information though, not saying our transfer dealings are good, been below par but people make things up internally and live it as fact and upset themselves constantly, seems ridiculous tbh. None of us are aware of what happens inside CP
