If he does go, we then need 2 new right wingers.

I think given him been out injured most of the season till now I don't see him leaving this January. Besides if we are to be successful over the course of the second half of the season we need Abada's ability to sniff out goals and his pace. He has a big part to play. We simply cannot afford to sell him this month from the standpoint of where we are at season wise.

No one’s gonna pay what we’d want for him with how long he’s been injured. Worryingly though I could see him forcing their hand and us accepting a derisory offer between £6-8mil for him if he really does want to leave like has been suggested

That would be a real problem for us given how important he is for the rest of this season IMHO. Hopefully at the worst we can have him fit and focused to play his part in the rest of the season and then he can be sold in the summer.

The article is essentially just a time line of events but it's interesting as it's came from Mcgowan. I wonder if we're trying to generate interest in him

Can definitely see him away this window. Unfortunately given circumstances and his lack of game time in recent months due to injury -- think we'll get far less for him that we'd have once imagined.

Been a * of a year for this boy really. Loss of form, injury then all the politics *. Really want him to stay and get his confidence back but I think he probably needs a fresh start somewhere else.

Could have got £20 million for him at one point imo but you're probably lucky to get half that at this moment in time. If he stays till summer and has a great finish to the season we'll maybe get 10-12....either way, if he finds the right club and starts banging them in again we'll be looking on in envy in a few years time.

When he goes we need to make sure and get a good sell-on clause into the deal.

Can't see him going anywhere this window..

It's been incredibly hard for him but he's still an asset and we'll be looking for good value if we punt him.

Good second half of the season and then reassess in the summer.

Celtic fully expect Liel Abada to play a key role in the second half of the season despite mounting speculation over the winger’s future.

Boss Brendan Rodgers has held a series of heart-to-heart conversations with Abada since the outbreak of war in the middle east at the beginning of October when Hamas launched an attack on the player’s homeland. A number of prominent Israeli voices have called on the 22-year-old to find a new club following a raft of high profile pro-Palestinian protests from a section of Celtic’s support following Israel’s ground invasion of Gaza.

And fears over Abada’s position have ramped up after the SPFL champions launched a £3m move to sign Rapid Vienna wide man Nicolas Kuhn, with negotiations between the two clubs continuing yesterday. But Record Sport understands, at no point in his discussions with Rodgers, has Abada asked to be sold or even to leave the club on loan until the situation back home has been stabilised.

And Rodgers is now plotting ahead for the push towards the title with Abada playing a significant part of his plans.

If he did go this winter I'd say it would do more harm to him than good. The same teams that would want him now, or same standard, would want him in the summer. If he has a good second half to the season he could demand a better club and more money.

    Ifs, buts and maybes.

He hasnt played or impacted enough this season to be seen as a real miss.
Has got some good numbers in his time with us so far, but dont think he has ever achieved the consistency of performance to either make the position his or to make himself indispensable to the club.

If he does want away, it could be more beneficial now to part ways than to hang on to a player who might not want to be here.

Having once lived in Israel, I posted in October that the pressure from home would be too much. Even if we were to sell him in the summer, him and his family will still get pelters if he plays from now on. The timing of that GB banner was so * stupid and incredibly insensitive and everytime Abada plays from now on someone in Israel will reference that banner. Pretty unfair on Abada all of this and I don't blame him if he has to go..and he will want to go due to pressure from home. I guess it's pointless signing Israeli players from now on. It's just * all round.

Israeli journalists now giving interviews saying he has lost friends on the ground in gaza, pressure on this lad from his own country has been ridiculous almost North Korean like propaganda

The idea of us signing Kuhn to replace him is a non starter. We are trying to improve the squad and not take away from it.

I feel sorry for him, pressure from his homeland will be making him have to move but at the same time he’ll want to stay and develop

I really feel for the guy. Horrible position to be out in and no fault of his own. Next steps will of course be up to him however it doesn't feel like he is going to be sticking around. Reflects terribly on the club as well.

Media outlets have been falling over themselves for months to make Abada a story to beat us with. Pathetic

We'd be daft to sell. Strong second half of the season and short of good options wide.
