You said we won't sign anyone able to challenge Kyogo unless we shell out £15m. I've told you that's nonsense, based on the fact we've signed Edouard, Dembele, Kyogo and Hooper for a combined fee of around £15-18m.

Now you're going on about proven strikers. What has that got to do with anything?

Miovski would cost us a few million quid. He's not even close to Kyogo in terms of level of ability. So spending that sort of money on him would be mental for a club in our position.

And eh...nah. There's not more chance of us getting that for MJ.

Just so you can actually remember what you typed. You said it would cost us £15m to sign a player capable of challenging Kyogo. Why would it cost anywhere near that when we signed the guy for £4.5 million?

Id say dembele and hooper were proven at levels above the spfl tbh.

Interested to see why you think that considering we’ve only had Kyogo for 2.5 years and paid nowhere near that?

 

To be fair, Hooper scored 20 goals in the English Championship the season we signed him. I'd say he had proven himself as much as Miovski has in the last 18 months in the SPFL.

I don't believe for a moment that Aberdeen would hold out for 5m. 2.5 with ad ons you'd imagine. No reason why he wouldn't start 20 games a season across all competitions for us to give Kyogo a rest and also while he's injured or coming back from Int games.

Hooper was 2nd tier I’m England 1 goal from being joint top scorer. He got 19. Swedish boy who went to Lisbon got 21 and was sold for £20m last season. Prices have gone nuts!

Hooper was playing in the Championship when we signed him not league 1. She scored 20, the season prior was in league 1 where he scored 30. He scored double figures 3 seasons running.
