This happens every January though for the most part. Fully expect a few players in.

Yeah we really should've had one or two lined up ready to go from the minute the window opened to give them as much time to settle and train as possible.

We need to hit the ground running after the break as will the "first team ready"signings the manager has asked for.

Was He though? At the beginning he was nothing but complimentary towards recruitment. He extolled the virtues of the 'model' and had nothing but praise for their work. Where I do think Rodgers has been let down is in the case of signing guys he wants. Reading between the lines he must have been given assurances on players that he wanted. For instance John McGinn. We fcuked about over £250k and tye player was lost. Rodgers must have got assurances that if he identified a player he wants then we go and get that player- within reason. But clearly that didn't happen in the summer.

That's my thoughts also but it wouldn't run into £100m you wouldn't think and also you would think some sort of insurance will cover parts of it. I know like yourself most people want to settle it out of court but that gordon woods is the one blocking it all.

I’ve been wondering that also, I was wondering how it works with regards to how much compensation/size of fine you pay, is it based on how much money the club has in the bank or is it a standard amount?

In civil actions its all based on probability rather than guilt beyond reasonable doubt. In certain cases it will be capped at a certain amount. Whether that will be the case with us I don't know. Issue lays with vicarious liability and its a unique case in Scotland. Whilst I hope the victims get a decent payday for the unimaginable pain and suffering we all know the other teams especially in govan fans don't care about the victims they hope this is our 2012 that it sends us under.

Hope it gets sorted soon it's a monkey in our back as far as I'm aware it'll be a capped amount paid out then we move on anyway back on topic just thought that could be why the board are hesitant to commit majorly to bid fees

Yeah agreed but I don't think it would be when you look at the income we will generate this season again

Man city payouts ranged from between 15 and 100,000.
So basing it on that ur looking at £2m tops if all 20 victims got 100k.

Maths never was a strong point for huns

And why was there even a mention of this in the non-media rumours section?

Thread completely derailed, back on track please…

1 or 2 in this window really doesn’t cut it, we need 4 quality players in minimum.

    GK
    LB
    ST
    Winger
    (CDM would also be nice)

Aye the most important thing for me is bringing in some good quality, experienced players.

Christ even just sorting the left back situation would feel like a miracle based on our last attempt to recruit there. We managed to sign Bernabei who isn’t a left back, isn’t a left winger, and canny defend … he just kind of floats around on the left hand side giving everyone heart palpitations.

You could literally pick up every single one of them on the precontract market, right now.

    GK- Ivo Grbic
    LB- Gijs Smal
    Winger- Bertrand Traore
    ST- Julian Carranza
    CDM- Redondo

All available for on pre-contracts or very low sums due to contracts running out in December(Redondo and Carranza)

Linked with Joe Gelhardt in the Yorkshire Post. Striker for Leeds United, 21 years old. Not a great scoring record to be honest. Played in the Premiership and the Championship with Leeds, Wigan and Sunderland.

Premier League- 35 games, 2 goals and 6 assists.
Championship- 43 games, 4 goals and 3 assists.
    FA Cup/EFL- 12 games, 3 goals and 3 assists.

    90 games, 9 goals and 12 assists.

Doesn't exactly scream out prolific but pretty sure I remember him making the breakthrough under Bielsa and they were raving about him down South initially.

At 21 years old, wouldn't mind it. Unfortunately, another one of the rumours that link us and the orcs together.

He's a work horse kinda player. Not what I'd describe as a natural goalscorer, which is what we need to edge towards to help Kyogo.

Below where I'd be expecting us to aim.

Guy on the Huddleboard convinced Gelhardt is signing.
