Urawa's new manager is Per-Mathias Høgmo, just signed from Häcken. Won't be surprised if more Scandinavians signs for Urawa before the Japanese transfer window shuts.

Probably a good move for him, going to a league where he'll be given more space to run behind the back line.

They signed a Norwegian striker previously I'm sure.

Think you might be thinking of Kasper Junker, who is Danish.

Had a spell in Norway with Bodo/Glimt. Been over there a wee while now bjt he was on loan last year to Nagoya in Japan. Hasn’t worked out that great for him at Urawa.

Daka rumour is complete non starter.

Wages and fee would be well out of our reach and he's away at afcon so hardly helps us out when we are already short up front

Can’t see Daka coming here, he is off to AFCON and on £75k a week. He has also been getting regular starts and scoring during the last 6 or 7 games.

Would love it to be true but can’t see it.

Finally a sniff of a rumour and it's one that's way out of reach.

He is a good player, good build, decent pace, very good passer of the ball and got a good cross on him, makes good runs too and pops up with the odd goal. Defensively he isn’t brilliant but not terrible either.

He looks an improvement on what we have and given his contract situation he’d be good value for money. Not sure Maldini is the best comparison.

When we do the business and bring in guys, and there’s not a murmur until it’s happening or just about to. That’s the best way to go about business and the way you want it to happen. Don’t like long drawn out public negotiations.

However, the key point there is us actually doing the business and getting guys in. When it’s quiet and we don’t trust us to do that, it gets * nervy.

My two favourite transfers I can remember just the way they happened and my excitement levels for them was Moussa, who we heard nothing about until a slight link 24 hours before he signed. That I’d dismissed as rubbish, due to teams he was linked to through the last months of the Championship season.

And Kyogo the other, announced in the middle of the night, without a peep that we were in for him, and a scramble to find out about him, exciting highlights and it dawning we might have just got a belter out of nowhere.

Daka would be a tremendous signing if we still had ange but I feel his decline was due to the slow build up play that Rodger’s teams play. For comparison I think it would mirror the difference in Kyogo. Both still would get goals but not have the same impact as if ange was manager which I know he is t but using his style of play to show when he would be effective

He'd be an excellent signing on paper.

10 assists last season. Not sure what he's upto this year.

He was mentioned on KDS two days ago.
