Had to google Fachetti, and it re-iterated the point of Bertie’s story about the big chiselled Italians, 6’3 left back apparently in that Inter team.

Always find it interesting the great players that are largely forgot about these days, Rivera’s one mentioned off hand sometimes from players rhat played back then. Forgot about, Fachetti I know for a fact I’ve heard about and actively looked at his career due to the Lions and I forgot all about him.

Wonder how many guys that have been up there with the best we just don’t know about, * look at us with Lubo 30 years later.

I know about Fachetti from doing drafts and amongst football historians he’s regarded as one of the greatest left backs. Looks good for his era of the available footage, same with Gianni Rivera. You’ve also got guys like Gerson and Didi who aren’t spoken about much any more, but were great players in their time.

The one I’m really fascinated by is Garrincha, more well known to be fair but never mentioned. Guy was literally a freak of nature.

That we can change from the default background and that the 'Graphite (Light Green)' option is amazing.

Deforestation each year cuts down about 15 billion trees a year which is the equivalent of releasing approximately 15 billion tonnes of CO2 each year.

The name 'LEGO' is an abbreviation of the two Danish words “leg godt”, meaning “play well”.

    Staying with Scandinavia….

Swedes sit down in front of the tv at 3pm on Christmas Eve to watch a broadcast by….

    Donald Duck

It is tradition to watch as a family a Disney Special from 1958 that gets shown every year.

Better than some old German droning away about “how hard life has been for one” I suppose…

John Lennon’s mum was killed by a cop and all he got was a reprimand by his superiors.
He was a learner driver driving unaccompanied, in otherwords illegally when he hit Julia Lennon killing her instantly.

Looked into that rabbit hole years ago, and surprisingly a lot more plausible than seems at first.

Pink Floyd played a gig in Dunoon.

They slept in the local police station.

I know this is from January, but what did you find in the rabbit hole?

I've always felt the most convincing evidence that he didn't escape is probably that he wouldn't have wanted to.

Like sometimes it's painted he might've fled from the Fuhrer bunker, but he put himself in the bunker in the first place no? If survival was important to him he really didn't need to be in that situation.

I'm also not convinced he was afraid of death in that way. The thought of being caught would've terrified him though.
