His first couple touches were * shocking right enough:56: but after that, his movement on the wing is a different level than any other one we have.

Him and Palma’s going to have a field day with each other on opposite sides man. Abada finds space consistently, Palma picks that out majority of the time

Abada spent a lot of time on the bench last year .

    Think so?

All I remember was him crossing the ball behind 3 of our players and giving the huns a counter attack, and then shooting straight at Butland when another 2 players were in a better position.

Just back so obviously gets a pass for it, but it was * infuriating and would have put us 3-0 up.

The media were hoping he would get a frosty reception and to jump all over it. Delighted it was the exact opposite.

He'll be vital in the run in, we have so many chances and he's a great finisher. Scored vital goals in his first season and he's still so young

How come Ange hardly picked him second season was he just off form, did he get a lot of injuries, was it cause teams were sitting back against us ? didn't think Jota set the heather alight on the right

He had a few niggly injuries am sure and Maeda came back flying after the world cup so him & Jota were first picks. Jota struggled at times for form but still scored a lot of big goals.

Abada has usually been best coming off the bench against tired legs when the game is more open.

Yeah he’s definitely a coming off the bench player. Not good enough to be a starter, can’t beat a man and crossing is pretty 50/50. Has a knack of being in the right place at the right time though in and around the box.

Would be one I wouldn’t mind selling this window, but not sure they’ll still be interest after him not playing this season.

I’m a critic of him being limited with regards to him taking on players but I did actually really like the look of him last night. Although he did nothing special, when he plays it first time he’s quite dangerous as in he takes a touch then goes for a 1-2 and runs in behind whereas if he gets the ball he’s in behind to whip it across first time and if he doesn’t get the pass it still creates space.

His movement is very good and I think after a couple minutes when he settled he was linking up very well with Johnstone and could see then Johnstone becoming much more involved. Also deadly and instinctive in the box.
Great option to have back again and I’m looking forward to seeing a bit more from him when we’re back

Genuinely think he's not being played in his best position. He's not really suited to beating his man with trickery and pace, if he's playing out wide he needs someone close to him that he can combine with, 1-2's etc.

Failing that get him in the box and use his predator instincts which are world class.

I think with Hatate coming back in and once Abada shakes off the cobwebs we’ll see more of this. Could see some of the 1-2s towards the end of the game last night and how he was creating space for AJ etc towards the end where we were just launching in balls across their defence. Felt a lot more positive after seeing that
