Aye, I honestly don't know what's happened to him, the drop off from last season has been a big one..

Hopefully the break does him good, would play Ralston v St. Mirren and maybe consider strengthening at RB, if not this window, the next..

Actually looks all over the shop at the moment, as others have said, the break might snap him out of it.
He dodged a bullet with the penalty incident, he was pathetic for it.

He was extremely lucky with the offside. Could have completely * us today. Going in 1 - 1 at halftime would have been an entirely different match.

I'd give him a break now until after the winter break itself. He's going through a bad spell but on his day he's top class.

That would be 2 changes to the back 4 then for midweek. So cannot see it. If CCV was fit, then I would agree with canning him.

I thought he played well, got home rewatched it, realised I was fulla *.

I don’t get it with him just now, because he wasn’t suited to the inverted thing really but was brilliant under Ange.

Now he’s playing BR’s style of classic fullback, that he’s far more suited to, he’s naewhere near as good.

Doesn’t make sense to me that.

Some beautiful through bals the night, then a couple of poor ones. Think he'll get back to his best at some point so worth sticking with it.

Passing was much better in general.

I don't get the big criticism of AJ, maybe it's because he set such high standards?
Yes, he's had a few mistakes this season and he has some rough edges and improvements to make but if you balance that with his overall contribution he's still a superb defender and important to the team.
I'd take him over Taylor any day defending 1 v 1.

Take last Saturday with Dessers (yes, he's as slow as) but when AJ was 15 yards behind and doesn't give away a penalty that's brilliant defending right there.
Yes, I know he gave it away to start with but he is just relentless in his defending.
    Keep the faith in AJ.

Every time the camera cuts to him he looks like he's 'seen things'. Don't know what is up with him but he needs to find last season's form or we need to look elsewhere.

How many guys have played CB next to him? Think we’ll see the best of him with a settled back line.

And if someone can finish one of the chances he creates, that’ll be brilliant, I feel like there’s one a game. Kyogo today that got flagged off, looked mega onside. There’s been a lot of that exact pass not taking. And then people start talking about lack of assists etc.

There’ll be a game he plays exactly like he has lately, end up with a couple assists and people will start saying that’s more like it.

Same could be said for Scales. Johnston has been very poor lately, at everything, so think playing exactly like he has this season isn't the answer.

Johnston looked much more on it last night though, some great passes from the back, and forward play. For me, he does need to get assists or contribute goals, and regularly, without that he's half a RB, particularly under Rodgers system. Although against St Mirren we looked to be going inverted on both sides again at points.

Agree, i don't think really appreciate the difference in a team when the lineup is settled

Came here after a full season and a world cup. Straight into first team here. Gets injured end of season has no preseason really then back to fresh season..
The guy hasn't really had much of a break all things considered. Think we will see a big improvement after te break
