    P. Lawwell has probably okayed the deal, then. It's stunning how he isn't on much more than that. It is the mythical land of milk and honey down there, afterall.

CCv, Scales, Nawrocki, Welsh - seriously does he get hame time ahead of any of these four? Not for me.
Arguments can be made for Welsh, but that's for a 4th choice position.

Simply put - he is not the quality we require to improve.

yeah but he signed for a Championship club not a Premiership club. The players who joined since promotion are probably on 3 times the amount he is.

Just reminds me of Phillips and Duffy style defender.

    We don't need those.

    We need good defenders.

2 of them are injured right now, and those 2 injured quite a lot this year. And in 6 months somebody could leave.

He is a good defender. What you want is a midfielder converted to a defender so can be fancy with his feat.

He's still no better than any of them though.

Wouldn't waste the money on him and would rather we had some ambition and drive to go out and actually improve the squad.

Not looking to replace 4th choice players with lackluster 4th choice level defenders.
    That's standing still at best.

Exactly. When will we learn our lesson that these hatchet caddies simply don't suit what's required at Celtic? Being a good box defender at a club in the championship/lower epl in no way means you'll then be suited to playing in a team with a high line that is expected to get on the ball, take risks, and dominate games.

    This.

Thought ppl would've learned their lesson watching that donkey Duffy try to play football out from the back, or try to play a high line.
It seems even fellow EPL donkey Philips faffing about here wasnt enough to get ppl to wake the * up.

To me, this snacks is Jack Hendry 2.0. Better player obviously, but another waste of a nominal fee that could be put towards actual quality.

I'll present you Shane * Duffy in response man.

McKenna isn't good enough to take us forward. End of.

He’s quicker than Shane Duffy and better on the ball than Duffy was. Where you saying the same about CCV he was playing at the top end of championship before us.

McKenna has already played in Scotland also so knows what the league is about etc completely different to Duffy situation

VVD, CCV, Scales, Starfelt etc suggest we can do it.

Duffy and Phillips were by far the worst defenders I've ever seen at the club to get regular game time. * woeful footballers.

Scales isn't great. He is no better with his feet than mckenna. Infact the only one truly good with there feet was VVD and efe ambrose. That guy skinned the entire barca team by himself :56:

I’d be delighted with McKenna. We concede our goals every feckin week by a corner or set play. McKenna is so dominant and aggressive in the air (bit like big Nawrocki). We are far too lightweight at the back. I wanted is to buy him before he went down south and he is a better player now than he was then.

While McKenna does not suit the way Rodgers wants to play, that way Rodgers wants us to play won't work in Europe. In a weird way, he'd be useful specifically for European games.

But Scales is pretty decent with the ball at his feet. I can't remember him losing it many times. He can definitely pick a pass.

We need better than what we have and Mckenna certainly isn't that.

Aye but we're needing home grown and he's cheap and good enough to count. Can see why we're interested.

I'd much prefer a RB right now though.

Hes 6ft 2 giving us some height in the team.
Hes been a decent option for Forrest getting them promoted
Scottish international and helps meet a quota for Europe

Excellent signing for a 3rd choice but ia he better than starfelt who i feel we have still to replace no
