Bringing in McKenna and Miovski would probably signal a switch to 3-5-2 particularly if we sign Araujo as well. Maybe not every game but it would give Rodgers lots of options to mix things up which he seems to quite like going on past form. 4-3-3, 3-5-2, 3-4-3 all formations he has used pretty extensively at different clubs.

It would be a nominal fee. Out of favour and out of contract in the summer. They want him off the books.

If he wasn’t willing to change to a 3-5-2 when we had no wingers and a glut of centre halves he never will.

    Surely not, lol.

Are all our Scots trapped in red tape in Asia and we're using scraps of paper from 5 year old transfer target lists, lol, *

I would disagree with that. We didn't really have anyone to play left wing back nor did we have another striker who likes to drop a bit deeper(like Miovski) with Kyogo running in behind. Not too mention Welsh and CCV were injured and Nawrocki and Lagerbielke weren't fancied.

Oh can be that striker that drops deep, instead of Kyogo. I guess we'll see what Rodgers will do if Araujo arrives. But he does not need McKenna to go 3 at the back.

Oh isn't a striker who drops deep to link play. He hasnt got the skillset. Miovski is like a Daniel Sturridge if you like to Kyogo's Suarez and it would be some partnership if you ask me

Lazio away was the almost perfect opportunity and he turned it down. I would say if he ever did go 3-5-2 it would be for a portion of a game at absolute most.

Oh can hold up the ball very well, and his passing is decent.

I think this is one of those situations where playing in Europe we need Scottish trained players as we have few and Turnbull is going to leave, Bain is a back up keeper, Taylor is the only who really is a regular player.

McKenna offers somethings we don’t have, he is a threat at set pieces and seems to defend his box well from ones. I have seen people say he is slow, my memory of him playing for Aberdeen was he had decent pace for a big guy.

He wasn’t a ball playing centre back but wasn’t a total donkey on it either. Him and CCV would be a physical centre back pair.

If McKenna would take a reasonable wage and likely cost less than £500k I don’t think it would be bad business. He’s a good age too at 27 and has experience of our league, top of Championship and a season in EPL.

In terms of this window CB wouldn’t be as big a priority if we spend on other areas.

Lagerbielke is our player already, and is physical. What sort of wages would McKenna be demanding?

He doesn't drop deep. He is a good man for holding it up.

    Rated at £10m.on transfermarket, lol.

Think there's a dot meant to be in between that.

Honestly if someone said he's going back to Aberdeen, I'd think "oh right "

Would be a good signing IMO.

Fast, strong and good in the air. Celtic lad and knows the league. Helps with homegrown quota too.

It’s not an area of the park that we need to spend big money on right now.

When everyone is fully fit we have CCV, Nawrocki, Welsh and Scales so plenty options.

Lagerbielke and Yuki will be away.

I'd take him on a free.

He's not as slow as people like to make out and has more than enough in him to manage the league here.

Is it exciting? No, but on a free or for about £500k-1m it's a signing I wouldn't grumble at.

We are also gonna be dangerously low on HG players soon.
