They're still a massive work in progress.

I think people forget that. What he's done thus far has far exceeded any expectations most will have had. He was meant to be gone by Xmas, again, remember.

It's a trade-off he's always willing to make. Tonight may have been their worst performance of the season for 80 minutes, yet they still created enough chances to draw or even win the game.

Even against Chelsea with 9 men, they had several really good chances to make it 2-2 with minutes to go.

They've lost Kane and he's playing gung-ho football in the middle of an injury crisis with no recognised CBs on the pitch, yet they're still only 6 points off the top of the league. There's method to the madness.

Well thats a bit of a ridiculous conclusion.

Are you suggesting that any manager not winning 5 games in a row shouldn't feel under pressure?

Put his name into twitter and you'll see mixed reviews on him.

I didn't pull this out of a hat?

He's lost games to teams that spurs should arguably be beating.

    West Ham
    Wolves
    Chelsea
    Brighton
    Villa.

Granted the latter are on a decent run of form but a team like Spurs should be beating them or at least getting a draw.

I stated when he left that I want him to do well and I still do but to think he shouldn't be under a bit of P managing a team that are looking to push top 4 but not winning 5 games in a row is a bit mad especially for a team like spurs.

He had won the previous three games before last night.

Spurs don't have enough good players and are being hit further with injuries. I'm not reading the mixed reviews you are seeing. Spurs fans are happy with the progress and the entertaining football they are playing. They understand the squad isn't good enough.

Considering the team he was left with and injuries he has to deal with, I can't see how sitting in 5th with Spurs would put him under pressure.

The big man needs January and he needs it fast. Needs his boss to produce some big signings for him, too. Another CB, another CM and another Striker and they could get top 4. I think they need another RW too but doubt they will replace Kulusevski

He’s in the same position as he was with us in his first season. He can’t fully play the way he wants. His squad is bare bones.

If they have any sense they’ll back him. He’s working miracles as it is.

I remember Conte saying the problem at Spurs is you have 9-12 first team players where the other squads have 16 or so. Ange needs the 16.

Aston Villa have beaten City and Arsenal this season. West Ham who beat Arsenal and Man United. The other 3 are solid midtable sides who will win games, they haven't lost to relegation fodder. Only 4 teams have lost less than them.

Only 3 points off the top of the League they are now and today were without Romero, Van De Ven, Bissouma, Sarr, Maddison and Kulusevski plus two of their squad players Solomon and Perisic.

Doing some job, especially since the last 2 months probably half their starting XI has missed every game.

Solid win for him and spurs today. Only a point off top 4 now.

I’m just shocked the Huns haven’t claimed this as evidence Clement has Ange rattled, since they claimed it every * week he was here.

I’m actually very interested to see how Spurs operate in January, Levy’s very much the same way as our board is, if he makes them move and picks targets swiftly and concludes business quickly - what we suspect of everything good in the background and transfers last two years pure revolves around Ange, would seem to be another bit of proof.

I’m holding on to the hope that summer was just a blip. Not really got any foundation or logic to that hope but.
