I thought his post match presser was very good.

Just wait until he gets his own signings instead of leftover ange targets.

I don't disagree with that. Hopefully start righting that this window. I don't expect 4 first team players either but I'd expect 2. Then the summer another 2 top qaulity signings with potential like dembelle or even matt oriley. No more tilos please.

Agreed. He’s confident and knows he is a quality manager.

I think it's "as you were" for me after that game, I still think we need 3. I think we've found our Mooy replacement in Bernardo; but on the other hand, I think we might need 2 FBs now rather than 1 (unless AJ is carrying an injury we dson't know about). 2 decent FBs and a quality winger plus Hatate and Abada back and we'll win the title comfortably.

He needs quality added to the squad.

Either top(ish) drawer young talent like Edouard/Dembele or more experienced players entering their prime.

If he doesn’t get that we’ll struggle. If he does we’ll dominate.

It’s just a financial question and recruitment competence in my opinion.

Yes that is exactly what he has been given in his time at Celtic so far. Hr can only be truly judged once he has brought in his own signings.

I don't think it's fair on Ange to assume that these were his targets. We know he can spot a player. I think it's on the recruitment team.

Yeah, especially in Europe where he told us he was hungry to make his mark… really pulling trees in that area!

It’s not difficult to be a big time Charlie in the spfl… another story entirely when you’re tasked with getting results against stronger opponents in Europe. That’s when your abilities are truly tested to their limits, and he has failed spectacularly yet again with us. Just like in his previous stint… but yet people will always trot out tue same lazy excuses for these failures.

I think he did better in Europe than he has done domestically. He exceeded my expectations there.

You’ve got low standards/expectations then… making you fit in quite comfortably with a large section of our fanbase.

The important point however, is that Rodgers clearly had the intention of doing something in Europe, but flopped badly.

What should he have done differently in Europe? Specifically?

An improvement from last season. And with all those missing players, as well as only having projects added to the squad (except Palma)....

Anyway, it's a bit weird folk constantly looking for negatives after a win against our biggest rivals. Just enjoy it man :56:

I don't know about low standards; but I certainly had low expectations based on the last decade of Celtic in Europe and on the summer window. All his talk of making an impact in Europe was before the window closed. Plenty of us correctly wrote off any possibility of making an impact at midnight on deadline day.

Rodgers never even attempted to sign the type of players that would have been needed to set us up in a sensible tactical system that could have gotten some results at that level.

All this unintelligent sheep-like garbage of blaming everything on the board, conveniently ignores this simple fact.

The reason he never tried to sign those type of players, is because he hasn’t got a * clue how to set a team like us up in a competition like the CL… he has proven this over 2 spells in charge of us now.

He’s so * hopeless at that level, he didn’t even realise what sort of players we needed to sign in the summer to have any chance of getting results. That has nothing to do with the board or what funds were available… it’s just bad management. Pure and simple.
