Rodgers spoke about Abada not being ready, Yang back in training and Holm training today after being ill but won't be included 2mo, when asked about injuries.

No mention so you'd think he's fit but can't see him anywhere in the training videos altho he does usually have a snood and hat on so not the easiest to spot.

    Hopefully he's fit

Aye wasn't in the last squad after coming off injured, so you would have thought Rodgers would have mentioned it if fit..

Does anyone know how long he is out for? Has Rodgers or the club mentioned anything yet?

Aye i felt like he played well in that couple of starts and allowed McGregor to play further forward. Gutted for him getting injured.

It's a tactic from Rodgers, not to say anything and them unleash him on sat :fear:

Lot of folk mentioning CCV, Hatate, Abada being missing but what a difference this guy would have made in last 20 mins. We really were missing at least 4 vital players and still had enough..

Totally agree, he would have been perfect to bring on last 20 min when they got a bit of oxygen. Bringing on the likes of Turnbull and Mikey J was so dodge.

Seems to get forgotten about, looked solid, picked up an injury.. no journalist asks about him and Rodgers doesn't mention him, when talking about squad fitness/availability, weird..

I like him and as other have said would have been ideal to shore up the game v The Huns..

Funny thing is, he never mentioned him with fitness availability earlier this season either, and said afterwards injuries made him unavailable.

Haven’t got a clue what his injury actually is.

Would guess Rodgers originally went down the route of Turnbull being preferred and trying to make that work for whatever reason, before he was forced to rethink/rotate. Possibly about the balance once Hatate returned.

Now that Iwata is injured he's just ignoring him again. Which is a pity as I think Iwata could be a great long term prospect. Bernardo looks good though. I get the impression you are either in Rodgers plans, or you aren't.

Something he’s talked about in all of his teams is the ability to stay available, when he talks about McGregor it’s always one of the first comments he’ll make about him as a player. Think when it’s guys in and out, when they aren’t clear head and shoulders above guys in there place in the team like CCV, he just dismisses them.

Aye, agree with that. Although I'd say he tolerates it in Hatate too. Part of what I don't like about Rodgers is a lot of his character is plainly just an act, but probably a big part of what got him where he is too.

Think Hatate’s a special player as well mate but guys who he think can just do a job for him, but they’re in and out, he doesn’t bother his *.

Aye, I’ve still got the standoffish way since last time and a lot seems insincere, didn’t feel that way first time round though

    Yip that's pretty much it.

I think after the first season, or so, when there was the fallout with Dembele and similar it was starting to show. Partly why thinning the squad down should help, no point having players around who Rodgers can't be bothered managing. Real pity if that applies to Iwata though.
