Has Maik Nawrocki given you food for thought?

It’s not food for thought, I know what I have. He has been unfortunate not to have played a bit earlier. He has picked up little niggles on his way back. He has trained for a few weeks and then picked up niggles when he’s not been involved. But that shows every faith that I have in him. He couldn’t play in the Champions League so to come in I thought he was good when he came in. A couple of moments when he maybe jumped in a wee bit but that is just about getting his timing back again. He passed it well and he is aggressive. He is going to be important for us in the second part of the season.

Struggled at first with his passing but settled down and made some good challenges. Also can certainly pass out from the back when he gets going. He fizzed a few nice passes out to Maeda but it took him about 3 touches to control it.

That’s not always the case though, do you really think Liverpool have said he needs to play just 8 games and that’s fine for us? He was an emergency 6 months loan due to injuries, in all honesty I think Rodgers thought cause he was at Liverpool that he is the better player.

Liverpool know they sent him to us not sukky fit, let alone ready to play and they were not just doing us a favour. Phillips had been out of the frame for some time at Anfield, but there would've been some privisos, such as appearances/squad inclusions/minutes played in the deal that brought him to Glasgow. Nawrocki being not included in the CL squad does factor into this also.

    That’s interesting.

Excited to see more of him as the season goes on. Definitely a player there.

I just watched the whole match after getting home and I thought he did very well after coming on, especially considering he hasn't played much

A nervous start when he was thrown in, but grew into the game. He got strength, pace and can pick out a pass.

On Kyogo's goal he did well to pick out O'Reily with a pass that opened them right up. Looking forward to see more of him.

I think it's unfair on Scales to say that I'd like to see him paired up with CCV so I will say that I would like to see a back 3 of CCV, Scales and Nawrocki.

Really liked how brave he was on the ball, fizzed passes through there midfield. Exactly what we need from a defender at celtic.

Not to mention hes strong amd good in the tackle, just a little eager at times with his defending

Was really excellent for me. Ok the odd shaky touch/pass and bit anxious in the tackle.nothing a run of games won't improve . think when Rodgers watches it back with a normal heart rate he might think he even performed better than his post match interview suggested

Sometimes you just have a feeling, I don’t think he’s going to be good enough. Happy to be proven wrong.

Doesn’t mean I know nothing, but no need for me to prove that on a fan forum

We all see things differently and theres a few in this squad i want upgraded but Nawrocki looks solid enough. Thrown into a high tempo game like that after being out for months i thought he actually looked really good.

I thought all things considered he was * brilliant tbh.

Hadn't played since what, August? Coming into that and playing what ended up being a good 60 odd mins in the end.

I liked his passing, few times he played a few risky but really accurate passes.

Like him. And didn't really understand the comments saying he wasn't good enough/didn't look great prior to injury. Thought he's been fine since day 1.

He had a similar performance to that away to Aberdeen early season when CCV went aff. Has a knack of getting some really key blocks.

I know he’s not been in the side for Liverpool, he is like Welsh for us but not as useful.

Phillips was included due to injuries and Nawrocki was expected to be out for a number of months but Phillips was fit.

Unless there is concrete evidence of this in the loan deal I believe it’s just speculation.
