Think you mean in training and he means in matches. Just crossed wires, that's all.

Got this weird feeling he's just throwing Nawrocki in out of nowhere tomorrow. Feels such one of those random derby quirks that could happen

Yeah, each other one has strengths and deficiencies. With Welsh, he's probably our best CB when it comes to passing & playing out from the back, but is poor in the air and has occasional poor judgment/lapses in concentration.

Not really worried about him playing though, don't think Lagerbielke or Nawrocki have shown (albeit in limited minutes) that they're any better.

    * knows what the thought process is with rodgers selections forrest and mikey johnston must be outperforming every other * too by that rationale

That's a good point. It could just be that Welsh is less nervy than guys like Phillips and Lagerbielke, less likely to let the occasion get the better of him.

Personally, I think in Forrest's case, he just trusts him to implement his instructions and not to do anything stupid. The way I interpret Forrest getting game time is as indicating a worrying lack of trust from Rodgers when it comes to some of the new players.

Mikey Johnston is still a good player, so who knows, maybe he is outperforming some of the other wingers. I mean none of them have really set the heather alight so far.

Phillips is supposedly already back in Liverpool. Got to remember that Welsh has been out with an injury for months, only came back recently - we wouldn't have even signed Phillips if he was still fit.

He gave him his chance, that's all. Guy blew it, he'll be back at Liverpool within the week. Zero chance he starts tomorrow.

    Think Liverpool needed cover.

Yes, but players can't be judged in matches until they do it in training usually.

Not sure there is any other way that works other than straightforward blind favouritism.

    13/1 for 3-1 , I'll take some of that

Palma , kyogo and we'll deserved goal for calmac with a sima goal sandwiched in there somewhere .

Done the 3-1 but now might see the odds on that as a bet builder just incase.

Rangers aint going to be like other spl teams, when we are * about at the back trying to play it out like we are barac they will pressure us and mistakes will follow. We need the whole team on form, not just one or two and the rest meh. Still think they will get a pen and we will lose a player....* knows what the score will be.

Good luck with it, mate. Let's hope you're the one whistling at the end of the day.
