What did you think of links with McDonald, Hartley, Robson, Armstrong and the likes?

Not meaning to sound smarmy. But I wouldn't see an issue with having a striker who's proven in our league at a crucial point in the season, rather than taking a punt on someone from Poland or Korea. If that's the alternative, anyway.

Our record in the market of late is probably what is driving me more and more to consider someone like him as a good signing, which says it all. So in a way you're right, the board are doing a great job of lowering expectations. So much so that the "fit to wear a celtic jersey" patter goes oot the window. How many of the current squad are in that bracket?

If he were to come in alongside someone like Van Hoijdonk on a loan to buy I'd view that as a good move.

    But it won't happen.

Absolute minimum required this window has to be LB, CAM/Winger, ST.

Hart needs replaced too but they will wait to the summer. Wrong attitude to have as their GK will win them points, ours won’t.

He’s never been a regular in Italy.

He scored 26 goals in 54 games for Hereenveen in the Eredivisie and 23 goals in 70 for NAC Breda in both the Eredivisie and the Dutch 1st Division.

His record overall had been decent since he went professional. 138 games, 50 goals and 6 assists. Not bad at 23 years old. Think he offers far more than Shankland, personally.

Why not sign them both .we can well afford it and it would send shockwaves up the Huns holes

Before anyone jumps down my throat, I know Kenny Dalglish, Danny McGrain and Jock Stein were brought up as huns and were brilliant for our club however, I think they were a different type of person back then in comparison to the modern day hun who, like the new hun club incarnation, are even more bitter and if, as you say, Shanklin is a staunch hun, then he should not be considered.

If the links with the south Korean and the Japanese striker are legit it makes me wonder how involved Rodgers is.

This window will tell a lot.

We have the shortest team in the league. That's a fact.

I think we will sign a Scott Sinclair type player in Jan, a player from the EPL who has lost there way a bit.

    Then a commanding goalie.

Then some power and pace in a LB and central midfielder.

    Not asking for much

All while trimming 8 or 9 from the squad

See, we have unused height in the roster which makes me think physicality and aerial prowess are not Rodgers' priority. Lagerbielke isn't fancied, and neither has Kwon been given a chance at all.

Lagerbielke had some patchy initial form, but he deserves a second string of chances after netting us a desperately needed CL win. Kwon hasn't even been tried in Scotland. I refuse to admit he's * until I see him face Scottish opposition in games for actual points.

    Both deliver height.

Totally agree. If we don’t provide him with the players we need I hope he walks and makes it clear why. I am so * scunnered with this board and our way of doing business. The Huns are absolutely brutal but we are worse at times. We are in a position to bury them with the money we have, and they don’t have but PL’a words of a few years back saying “we are stronger with Rangers in the league” seems to mean, let them win one now and then and this seems to be the one!!!
