Mentioning that someone isn't factoring in wages etc is not trolling and it is a valid point. We are not going to jump from spending approximately £19-20m in the summer window to spending £55m. It just won't happen. It's delusional.

Should we be aiming for better? Yes. However, he'd guarantee goals in the absence of Kyogo. Any striker we bring in is not pushing Kyogo out the team. We're just not going to find better than him. We may as well go for someone who is guaranteed to score goals, and Shankland does that.

Wherever he goes, he's going to score goals. I'd rather he'd do that for us than the huns.

The huns will struggle to afford him though. We could literally blow them out the water and we should. I don't care if he's a hun, money talks and we've had plenty of huns in the past that have played for us and have turned against them.

Celtic will look to bring in a striker, a central midfielder and a left winger in the January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

It is believed that a centre-forward is the number one priority for Brendan Rodgers as he is set to lose Kyogo Furuhashi and Oh Hyeon-gyu for the Asian Cup in the new year.




Sources also told Football Insider that the boss is eager to add goals to the engine room with a prolific central midfield addition.




Celtic are expected to be relatively active in the winter window and Rodgers is hopeful that signings in these three areas can be brought in to help his thin squad.

A new long-term goalkeeper could also be brought in with current number one Joe Hart’s contract set to expire in the summer, but this is not believed to be a priority this January.

The Hoops reportedly made a profit in the summer despite making seven senior signings including Odin Thiago Holm, Luis Palma and Maik Narwocki but the Hoops are expected to return to the market this winter.

 

Don't bring in a quality striker this could cost us the league and who's bright idea was it to have both strikers coming from Asia and lose both of them to this tournament we really need to plan our squad better.

We also have prolific midfielders: O'Riley, Turnbull and McGregor, who is stuck at CDM because the manager put him there.
