I think we will be denied a stonewall penalty. The norm whenever anyone plays against these mutant *. They think they are untouchable since lurch took over as manager. I just want them beaten to remind them who are the champions.

I think we'll play at the tempo we showed against athletico Madrid..if we do they won't cope... kyogo to get back to his best against them. 2 or 3 nil to the good guys.

Agree. Only difference though is we won't get anything from going down. Play will just get waved on. It's them that get decisions remember.

 

Need to watch tavpen ghosting in to the back post area as we saw in the cup final against Aberdeen and he also scored at the back post against Celtic last year .
So really need to keep him pinned back at all times .

 

They will play a defensive game like all the others , but have better quality to hit us on the break.

 

Really difficult to predict, probably nothing new there.. but we do seem there for the taking. However, they are poor too with a few injuries but with a bit of momentum..

We need an Atletico type performance but think it will be quite tight. 2-1 to the good guys..

 

Biggest threats in their team are tavpen and sima. Tavpens head can go down quickly though if things don't go his way. No silly free kicks and penalty give aways and he should be easier to manage.
Sima is direct and has pace, Welsh/scales not blessed with pace so will be an interesting one

Other than that...same old team for the taking. Tight game as lots at stake so early on.
1-0 trashy game. Just need to get to Jan window in one piece to recuperate and revitalise team.

 

Key challenge will be dealing with the officiating. I do not expect it to be fair or good.

It will be a rough and dirty game and we will get nothing from the ref. We need for and firing and move it fast and most importantly, take out chances.

They'll try for penalties and free kicks so don't give them the chance

 

Difference with this game is they won't sit back 11 behind the ball like the rest they have to attack and mostly do that down the wings leaving big gaps, they also play a high line and that will suit us but only if we play with more pace, I fully expect to win this on sat will be tight tho

Another thing that might help us is the fact they’ve a late kick off tonight then only 2 days recovery before an early kick off against us. Ross county are poor though.
I wonder if the Huns will try get an early goal early on against us to try silence the crowd or if they’ll try set up defensively and try wait to catch us on the counter. I think kyogo and maeda will be pivotal for us with their runs in behind

 

Rodgers has to be brave and attack them with pace and in numbers and press them high. If we sit back and try to be cagey we'll give them confidence and belief they can get something.
