My worry is that he is now in contention for a start

 

This is the MJ that keeps tuning up for Ireland. It's why Irish fans are so confused that Celtic fans think he's * and why Celtic fans are so confused Irish fans think he isn't

 

Projects.

I'd normally have been all for seeing MJ get a run and to see him step it up. But this season has been the final straw for me.
One good sub appearance doesn't change that.

Good on him, if he gets confident from this and kicks on to prove the vast majority of us wrong, I'll be one of the happiest here.

But let's not jump the gun lads.

Should be a stand named after him.

 

He's not the solution long term, but he's a Celtic fan who's living the dream. So pleased he has that monkey off his back. Here's hoping this kicks him on now.

 

I'm a fan of his but that was based on some fleeting appearances many moons ago. He has always had ability that's obvious but it takes more than that to make it here. A clear run of games, injury free was what I wanted to make my mind up on him. He's had that recently and it's been a mixed bag, some lovely moments then some infuriating ones. I thought getting hooked at HT against Hearts was the end of him but he's probably given himself a reprieve this evening. Would love to see him make it here but needs to step up on a consistent basis and the jury is still out as to whether he's capable of that. I'll tell you what tho the difference today between MJ & Maeda on the ball makes Johnston look like Messi. Maeda is eye bleeding to watch for me and out the two I'd have MJ over him all day.

 

No, he shouldn't be starting against the Klan.

But he did well when he came on today.

 

He's our Marmite player. Would love to see him do well but he can be so utterly * at times that it's really hard to say that he should be in our starting eleven.

I think we’ll start the same team as today but a confident Johnston on the bench should be a decent option for us.

 

Injuries and lack of confidence * him..

He isn't the answer long term but he's the kinda option that's needed against pish defences in our league..

Someone who can skillfully go by and commit a man and get a shot off..

We don't have enough players that beat a man with ease..

Should do him some confidence if he gets minutes on Saturday..

 

No worse than whats ahead of him on the pitch and that tells you how bad things are for us at the moment.But at least he seems to have a real hunger and desire to make a difference when he gets a chance.

 

Might be worth keeping around as an impact sub as long as his wages aren't too high and he stays fit.

 

Still not for me, but great contribution today, did more than all our wingers combined today in his fleeting cameo.

 

Don't rate him but fair play to him managing a double. Feel bad for the guy so good to see him have something to celebrate, might be enough to get him a half decent move down to the Championship or that.
