    Go on home british soldiers
    ex-mrs and me live near Yorkshire Moors and regularly see kestrels hovering and sometimes swooping down and landing but most of the time they’re too far away to see if they were successful. Driving back to Hebden Bridge today I spotted a kestrel taking off just next to the road, it passed my windscreen about 6feet away and clear as anything there was a large light-brown mouse struggling in its talons, Absolutely Brilliant Experience, I feel blessed

    My son is in Florida right now with his fiancee, visiting her father. Yesterday he sent us a few pictures as he sat on a beach. He's not a birdwatcher, so doesn't know much about birds, but what he saw was superb. A White Ibis, a flock of Pelicans Sanderlings and he got a stunning view of an Osprey diving for a fish. Moments later, another Osprey flew right over his head. He even admitted to being really impressed with the diving Osprey.
    There was another black legged, black beaked bird on the shore. I'm not sure what it was. I'll try to get the pictures up to see if anyone knows what the mystery bird is.
