2 good games in a row and everyone will want him signed. That’s just how fickle us football fans are.

Do you think that was a condition of his loan to play in champions league games ?

Odd that a new prospect player plays more in champions league than our own league

Was fine today, but not seeing why we would pay actual money for him.

Opinion still hasn’t changed about him, I don’t think we would miss him if we cancelled his loan deal in January.

It's kind of a running theme with him for me, he isn't a bad player when he starts, but he doesn't do much good either.

Like, he doesn't typically mistime runs or make wayward passes, but he doesn't really do anything special either, a bit like Turnbull who has one trick in his back pocket (his shooting) and nothing else.

I wouldn't be against cancelling his loan deal in January and bringing in another midfielder, because he's going to need to have an absolutely incredible second half of the season if we were to buy him outright.

    Nah, nothing..

It's worrying that every option we try as the 3rd midfielder looks inadequate, we may need to add there in January

Misused. Why he hasn't been tried at CDM is beyond me.

He’s not a bad player, he just doesn’t really do anything to effect the game.

I think we need another central midfielder urgently anyways and I believe it’s a position we should be looking to prioritise in January with left back and striker.

He hasn't * up anything that's put me off him, but he's not really done anything that makes him stand out so far either, still not really sure what to make of him, if he continues on like this then he's not really earning a potential move here, but still on paper he's not a bad player so who knows he might kick on in the second half of the season.

When you sign a loan player, you hope they'll show you a level of quality that makes you believe they would be a real valuable long-term signing.

Bernardo hasn't done that so far.

Can say it's the lack of chances he's had to start or whatever, but I think it's clear his game is pretty limited. Today at home to Livingston was a big chance for him. Whilst it's unfair to say he had anything below a decent game, he certainly didn't seize on his opportunity either.

Not his fault tbh, I just don't think he has the talent to make us as fans go "wow, we need him in the door permanently".

Wish him well wherever he ends up next season, but it'll no be here.

Hes steady. Doesn't stand out. So he's not bad. He's just not great either. He's young though. As the season goes he may just get better.

I like him, he’s not got out of his shell yet but there’s been wee flashes of skill, he has an exceptional first touch, works hard and is great off the ball but importantly what he done today and in the CL is those performances that aren’t individually impressive but is key to gelling the team together, he was always making sure he was making angles for the pass, pressing up at the right time and supporting those around him.

Guys like that are massively appreciated by the players on the pitch, and its up to him to kick on from here. Won’t have a better chance this year than now you’d think - Iwata and Hatate being out

Genuinely baffles me. Some posters on here suggesting Taylor was good today and Palma as well. From where I was sitting the two of them were average at best. Thought Bernardo was excellent. Along with O’Riley and Calmac they dictated the pace and their pressing won us possession back countless times. He’s the only guy for me who has took his chance

Palma who set up both goals? There’s something to be said for end product

Reminds me a bit of Joe Ledley. Nothing flashy but quietly effective.

I like him, keeps things ticking and is intelligent in closing gaps, even against the best teams we’ve played in Europe.

He’s also good at shielding and protecting the ball when it’s fired in to him at pace.

We could do a lot worse. Would like to see him with Hatate in the team.

People just jump on the bandwagon as well. There’s been a narrative that he does nothing in the team and people will just latch on to that.

He does plenty of good things. Just because he keeps it simple, it doesn’t mean he’s *. There’s nothing untidy about keeping possession.

Can we do better? * knows is the answer. Depends more on the recruitment team and the board than Bernardo himself I suppose.

Him over Turnbull every day of the week..he's not flashy but puts in so much more than Turnbull who just looks like he can't be bothered. He has to play against the Huns if Reo and iwata aren't available.

Agreed, should be swapped with Cal to get him further up and support Palma and Taylor on that left side.
